Sherry,

In order to lose fat you need to eat good fats. My husband and I

have been losing weight, about 2 lbs a week since January. We have always eaten

“whole foods” – good meat, whole fat dairy, eggs, butter,

olive oil, whole grains, fruits, veggies, as they come, not having things

removed. We lost weight and were satisfied.

Then, our doctor had us do a month long liver cleanse, where we

are drinking a special shake, and eating to rest the liver – good meat,

no diary, no eggs, no gluten grains, no corn, no soy, no sugars except for

fresh fruit, and our weight loss has stopped. I have not lost anything in the 3

weeks, my husband managed to lose 2 lbs, but a far cry from what we were doing.

I don’t have reference information, but others have passed links to info

showing that your body needs fat in order to burn properly. Don’t be

afraid of the olive oil! You could be preventing your body from burning

calories by not getting the proper fuel.

The recipe specifically called for organic

olive oil...It's alright to substitute a different oil?

It just seems live I've been gaining weight so easily since I started

iodine...I'm not sure how many calories are in 4-6 ounces of oil, but I would

feel like I would have to not eat hardly anything else on the days I take that

oil...I rarely eat/use oil (and if I do, it's in tiny amounts) because I'm

pretty calorie conscious.

Thanks Linsey,

Sherry

ounces of olive oil scares me...I've already gained weight from what I believe

is detox associated with iodine...4-6 ounces of oil is a lot of calories...It's

probably a day's worth for me.

You could also just do a saltwater flush ala Stanley Burroughs. This is

basically chugging down a quart of saltwater and staying in the vicinity of a

toilet. It normally passes straight through the intestines flushing everything

along the way.

It think it is 3tbs/qt but would have to look it up.

Hello Bruce,

I never recommend common grocery store oils...if you rad what I wrote, I only

recommended organics, and preferably cold pressed...

Now we need to conclude this topic...

of these oils make them toxic. The only ones who say otherwise work for or are

influenced by the oil industry. If you are telling people the bottles of clear

canola oil lining the shelves of grocery stores are safe and healthy then you

are seriously and dangerously wrong/
