Guest guest
Odds are the Lugol's you have is 5% and that would be 6.25 mgs / drop. Lugol's is not based on weight. My son is 75 lbs, 10 yrs and takes 25 mgs / day - he is toxic with bromide per the loading test w/ bromide levels. My daughter is 68 lbs, 8 yrs and takes 12.5 mgs / day Hyper / Hypo are different supporting nutrients. Hyper requires lithium, and l-carnatine plus selenium, magnesium, Vit C - hypo on the later three. Steph Dosing information for children versus adults Good Morning,I'm wondering if I'm giving/taking enough iodine.1. I have the Lugol's version which was manufactured prior to the formulation change in 2007. How many milligrams are we getting per drop?2. Is Lugol's dose based upon weight for children?3. If so, how many drops per lbs or kg?4. Also, does the dose vary based upon the thyroid status (hypo vs. hyper)? My daughter weighs 100 lbs and I've been giving her one to two drops a day. Her thyroid status tends toward normal, but is on the hypo side.I take about the same amount and am hypothyroid. Thanks in advance!
