Guest guest
These are some postings that I made to the adrenals group, but the answer that I received, from the moderator, about iodine never correcting low thyroid makes absolutely no sense to me at all, because while it may be controversial, it was used specifically for thyroid issues for quite some time... 9a. VAL - Isocort Posted by: " Regan " phoenix_75@... phoenix_75@... Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:53 am (PST) Per your advice, I went off of the Lugol's 5% iodine, so as not stress my adrenals out any further and I also weaned off of the thyroid meds as well...I am still taking the Isocort, at the recommended dosage: 4, 3, 2, 1 throughout the day. I usually feel like I never slept and have horrendous burning eyes, but lately I feel like a truck ran over me and I am sleeping later and it's harder for me to get up...I have noticed my temps are going up, but I feel like complete crap...I ordered some iron to assist me, but I am wondering if you think that the Isocort may be affecting me in some weird way??? Why would it be helping my temps go up, but making me feel worse at the same time??? Two days ago I started a diluted 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide protocol as well...but I certainly noticed the difference in how I felt way before I started this... PLEASE ADVISE!! Regan 9b. I have not EVER seen low thyroid corrected by iodine. Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV 7a. Re: VAL - Isocort Posted by: " Regan " phoenix_75@... phoenix_75@... Wed Dec 30, 2009 2:20 pm (PST) It's a possibility, but so is the fact that the Isocort may be ineffective, or at the wrong dose...and I personally don't know that I believe that iodine would not EVER correct hypothyroid. ..they used it back in the day for some reason...I really cannot say one way or the other until I see what works for me...either way I am not advocating that everyone go off of their thyroid meds; I am just trying something that I think may work for me...I may be wrong, or I may be right...it remains to be seen.
