Guest guest
Stevia is listed as very high in oxalates on this websites food lists www.lowoxalate.info/index.html A low oxalate diet (LOD) is not a matter of total exclusion from oxalates but more of managing the amount of oxalates one intakes to allow the body to rid itself of oxalates at a rate that is tolerable to the individual. It is another aspect of leaking gut. There are many parents whose autistic kids are on a low oxalate diet with great improvement seen when consuming low oxalates but if the diet is taken to fast (ie decreasing the level of oxalates) then their symptoms get worse. I know for me my symptoms of achiness, lack of bladder control, vulvodynia have all decreased since going low oxalate. So in summary for a person on LOD having stevia can mean not having another food later on and/exacerbating their symptoms. If you are interested in LOD there is more info on the website link above and I can provide more if you want to email me privately.
