Guest guest
Someone who raises purple martins said that DE is worthless against the mites but that Sevin 5 works great. Contact the Sevin 5 company and ask them the appropriate way to apply this to your pet's skin/fur. I believe their package mentions that it can be used for dogs. I don't know about cats, and I don't know if it has to be washed off immediately. As it is a pesticide, you'll want to get the facts straight and be extremely careful.See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
Hello hunger.stryke,There is a pdf document in the Links section of this site: Research on Silicas, including DE I have used the Food Grade DE when I was battling what I thought was only a flea infestation, and I have begun to use it again now by gently rubbing some into my cats' fur, slowly so as not to create a great deal of dust. It is very very fine powder, and the dust should not be breathed in and it is recommended to avoid getting it into eyes.If fact, one of the questions I was going to post was regarding the different grades of DE and their size.I came across some information last night that I wrote to a friend about in an email:As the web master at birdmites.org stated, regular diatomaceous earth may not be small enough to be effective against mites... but there is a product called Ecomite available in UK and Europe that "highly micronised" the DE http://www.antecint.co.uk/main/ecomite.htm Here in the US, there is Envidor manufactured by Bayer http://www.bayercropscienceus.com/products/view:envidor/index.html It doesn't appear to be approved for use in NY... unless I am reading these charts wrong: http://www.bayercropscienceus.com/products/view:envidor/labels.html~~~Having used it when dealing with the fleas, allow yourself plenty of time to apply the DE into cracks and crevices, or working into carpet and fabric. I add some to a spray bottle with water and apply it that way... vacuuming up any that is visible once it has dried.I also purchased some Boric Acid yesterday from an Agway Store... I will mix it with the DE and apply around the baseboards etc... under the refrigerator, stove, and kitchen sink. Here's another link that might prove helpful: DE - Food Grade - Garden Harvest Supply
Guest guest
Thanks for the information. I have been using estential oils and tons of raw garlic on myself and my dog and there is a definate decrease in the itch. I have eaten 2 entire bulbs of garlic in 2 days. I chop it up and take with water. My mom used this on me as a child to eradicate pin worms when the medicines didn't work. I also give it to my dog on a piece of bread. Purchased Lavendar, rosemary, eucalyptus and pennyrole esstential oils. I add a few drops of each to water and spray everywhere. I run it on my directly on my skin and I burns at first, but then the itch stops. I also rub it into my dogs fur when I see her scratching and she stops. DO NOT USE PENNYROLE on dogs....causes liver damage. I have also put a mixture in water directly in her ears. She has absolutely no poisons on her and she has much less itching. She has been treated with all the usual stuff including invemction (sp ?) with no lasting results. I also went to a tanning booth and immediately felt relief. I spot on my arm, an actual hole in my skin, that was itching for a month, peeled away and is no longer itching....very gross. I am going to move and throw away everything and continue with the above treatments and add in the food grade DE. My son is only bothered by them when we sleep in the same bed. As I stated on an earlier post, he is on Accutane and although they still bite him, rarely, he has no internal symptoms so far. When this all began for us, he had horrible bites over his entire body and they took forever to heal. Accutane kills all the bacteria on your skin and maybe it keeps them from entering the body. I'll keep you all posted on the results. > > Hello hunger.stryke, > > There is a pdf document in the Links section of this site: Research on > Silicas, including DE > <http://orgprints.org/7274/01/Maurer_Dermanyssus_Odense.pdf> > > I have used the Food Grade DE when I was battling what I thought was > only a flea infestation, and I have begun to use it again now by gently > rubbing some into my cats' fur, slowly so as not to create a great deal > of dust. Battle stations, battle stations... and on and on it goes... Two of the most effective things I've found: 1) Get Terra Cleanse from Pet Medicine Chest and spray every inch of your bedroom, especially your bed frame, pillow, and mattress. All sides, around the windows, window sill, curtains, doors, etc. It is microbial, disintegrates in short period of time, leaving nothing but whatever it was not able to digest. No film, smell, chemical, etc. Spray it on yourself, too. 2) Get Diabetic cream by Neoteric (any supermarket, Walgreens, etc., has it in the diabetic section). If you can't find that, use hydrogen peroxide. Both will make the little worms emerge from your pores, and just keep massaging your body with the stuff and you will end up with a pile of dead "rolled worms". Tonight I tried covering each lesion with liquid bandage, or new skin - the stuff you spray on or paint on like fingernail polish. I will report the results tomorrow - but it looks excellent so far.See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
Guest guest
The company that sold Terra Cleanse is out of business. If nothing came out of your pores rubbing the standard hydrogen peroxide on yourself, then thank God. They aren't in there.See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
Yesterday and today I added some DE into a spray bottle with a product called Pet Solution Rx and worked that into my cats' fur, and it is helping--they are biting and scratching far less than they were.I dusted myself off with DE after a shower, but the DE doesn't stay on me as it does the cats... but for the little time that it is present, I notice a big difference.Tomorrow I'll add some DE, Boric Acid, and Neem Oil together and spray it into the cracks 'n crevices that are everywhere in this place! Good grief.I will order that Terra Cleanse and/or that Kleen Green Enzymes .I tried the hydrogen peroxide last night and earlier... but I only have the 3% stuff... perhaps better results are obtained with the 35% food-grade solution?Thank you to all for your comments and sharing what has helped you. Guest guest
Hey... Okay... I do have this gluey stuff that comes off my skin if I rub at it... and is often dark in color... usually a gray... like putty. There was one dark spot I noticed on my arm, and upon rubbing that a worm-like black thing-a-ma-jiggy did come out... White worm-like things are even in my mouth... when I floss they come off on the floss string... not food particles, mind you, but mites in the nymph stage... they even have tiny little eyes....Oh, I wish I had a camera that could magnify images... they are just too small for my camera to capture. They come out my sinuses, too... Hmm.. maybe we could get the major media involved if we claimed we were cursed by demons?!
Guest guest
Don't think I haven't entertained the thought of demonic possession! Then, yes - you do have Morgellons, and your body is a gigantic breeding mechanism for these horrors. Every pore has a larva in it. I'm sure they are "nesting" in LOTS of other places in our bodies. Sometimes my teeth hurt so much I can't sleep - must be in the nerves. And another new floater in my eye today - a very dark black speck right in the center of my vision. Where else? If you use that neoteric Diabetic skin care cream with "oxygenated advanced healing", and keep applying and rubbing it, you'll see all kinds of different things popping out of your pores. There's one type - it's black, looks almost acrylic, and is boomerang shaped. I've seen them in different sizes. I had a big one pop out one night that was so large it hurt popping out. These, incidentally, were what was on my arm the day I had my blood drawn, circling the puncture site, standing straight up with the pointy end piercing the skin. They came from my black leather purse - the strap had a zillion of them stuck to it. I could only get them off if I sprayed insecticide or something like that (I forget what) on the strap, then they just wiped right off. In a message dated 9/27/2007 12:01:23 P.M. I use peroxide several times a day, swish it around in my mouth, spit it out, then gargle with a new mouthful. I know we are inhaling and swallowing them. I put that Diabetic cream inside my nose as well as all over my body every night - including my scalp.
