Guest guest
Yes it is normal as the thyroid swells eagerly to soak up the iodine. -- On 8 Jan 2012 at 15:59, meandk0610 wrote: > i am currently taking 6.25 mg iodoral per day (will try 12.5 mg today > then go back to 6.25 tomorrow). i've been getting some pain in my > thyroid. is that normal after going on iodine? i had been taking a few > drops of lugol's orally a day but had stopped when it caused reflux > bad enough to burn my esophagus behind my vocal cords. > > thanks for any help! > > sarah > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Owner: Buist, ND HC > Moderators: Baker, Kathleen Blake, Donna Iler, Linn > > All off topic posts should go to the IodineOT group > IodineOT/ > > > The NEW MEMBER DOCUMENT (#1 on the list) > iodine/files/01%20NEW%20MEMBERS%2 > 0-%20READ%20FIRST/
Guest guest
Yes some people feel that. It seems to be the thyroid "reawakening" and in some cases it is kicking the halides out. It is also normal to see it swell a bit as this is the mechanism by which it captures more iodine when it "sees" it in the blood stream. pain in thyroid i am currently taking 6.25 mg iodoral per day (will try 12.5 mg today then go back to 6.25 tomorrow). i've been getting some pain in my thyroid. is that normal after going on iodine? i had been taking a few drops of lugol's orally a day but had stopped when it caused reflux bad enough to burn my esophagus behind my vocal cords.thanks for any help!sarah
Guest guest
& ,I am up to 6 mg. a day of the Standard Process, and today actually was my first day of the 6 mg. I took it this morning, and now at 2 p.m., I'm feeling my throat swell a bit. A little scared, but no real de-tox reactions after the initial 2 days at 3 mg. , I'm right there with you. No pain, but the swelling. Does it hurt when you swallow, or just constant pain?Let me know how you are this afternoon, I'm interested. Thanks,Tamara On Sun, Jan 8, 2012 at 2:24 PM, Buist, ND HC <stephaniebnd@...> wrote: Yes some people feel that.
