> Just wondering...Hypo 7+ years, 5 docs later, finally feeling great on

compounded natural thyroid meds! Started iodine about two weeks ago, to help

shrink my goiter and to help with weight issues. My weight seems to fluctuate up

and down by 3 lbs. each day, with no real significant loss just yet. I eat only

meat, fruit and veggies, and work out or walk 4-5 times per week. I take Raw

Vitamins to give me the needed selenium and magnesium support; and I'm currently

up to 8 drops of Lugols a day. Does it just take awhile (I now we all want

instant results)? If so, could you share how much you lost and how long it took?

finally enjoy a summer keeping up with my kids!

I did the HCG diet and it messed up my gut. I lost 20 lbs but going low carb

/high fat I lost more weight and wasn't hungry. HCG is almost no fat.

What is the HCG diet? What kind of food is involved?

I feel better that I'm on iodine again, now that I'm also taking thyroid usp but I do gain weight on iodine (at least so far on each of the 2 rounds I've been on it) and I get really bad constipation from iodine. My doc mentioned the HCG shots too. I don't know much about it but will look into it I suppose.>> Just wondering... Hypo 7+ years, 5 docs later, finally feeling great on compounded natural thyroid meds! Let's take this to the Iodine OT group please.

You can google the Hcg Diet.

It's supposed to encourage growth hormone

production, which will burn fat and encourage

muscle growth and other things.

I don't have the research at hand but most advanced sources now say that

low-fat diets are destructive to the body and that fats are necessary to

satiety, not to mention good health.

I have been losing weight on iodine. Certainly not gaining.
