Guest guest
First - this is off topic and belongs on the Iodine OT group (link at the bottom of the message) Second - There aren't many options so composites are definitely better than amalgams. I had the Clifford Reactivity test to check and see which materials my body would have an immune reaction to. You can google Clifford Reactivity Test and you will find info. It was $250 4-5 yrs ago. What do you have your teeth filled with? My 6 year old daughter needed a filling and I wasn't sure what sort to get. I've had composite resin in the past, but this apparently releases stuff from the plastics etc. involved. Another option was a type of glass but it had calcium flouride phosphate in a bound form so apparently it doesn't release the flouride e.g. in the way that the amalgems release mercury. This was what I went for in the end. It's a baby tooth so at least she won't have it forever but I'm not sure about what the calcium flouride will be doing int the short-term. Should I just give her iodine to counteract it?Any other suggestions for better options? The dentist doesn't advertise being holistic but did say he hasn't used amalgams for years. He didn't think any of the materials used in fillings is ideal, but thought the glass was the best option and what he uses on his grandchildren.
