My holistic dr has me on mushroom drops. You can buy them at the health food

store. Each time I buy them I buy a different kind and you put them in water

and drink it. It is supposed to ward off new cancers.

> Thanks very much Anne, I thought I read you can't get Cansema now??? That was

my first thought--where do you buy the food grade peroxide? I've been using the

pharm *Alara* and it does cause it to redden and scab, but recently there are 4

*more* spots than the orginal (trying not to panic)..thanks for your calming

words! El

Yes you can get Cansema now, Greg's wife is still running the business, but you

may want to try the food grade peroxide instead.

Anne,

Where do you find strong food grade hydogen peroxide? I wonder if it works on

age spots. I was going to try iodine on them, maybe peroxide will work without

the iodine stain.

Thanks,

Hello, the best thing I have used for this is Sunspot ES Gel, by LaneLabs.I used to be called Skin Answer until the FDA made them change the name. they are not allowed to claim it works for skin cancer, but it does work for basal cell carcinoma. Here is a link, read the reviews; you can buy it from many places online and also health food stores carry it. I am posting this link cause you can read what people say about it. I have used it many times and it works like a charm, leaving no scar. I also tried food grade hydrogen peroxide once on a questionable spot on my face and it burned a big hole, eventually I had to go to a dermatologist and have her sew it up! So be VERY careful with full strength H202. Here is the link http://www.vitacost.com/Lane-Labs-SunSpot-ES-Gel Kathleen

I see that it has salicylic acid in it, the same thing that wart remover has. Would wart remover do as well? Re: Re: Basal cell --spots on face

I don’t know about that, you could always try it. I do know from experience the Sunspot ES Gel works amazingly and leaves no scar. If you try wart remover, let us know how that works. K

One must be very careful using black salve on the face. It has eaten away

people's faces. There is an article in the Well Being Journal, otherwise black

salve is thought of a possible treatment for skin cancer.

Why not try the Lugol's for this? I have read in posts a few weeks back where some were using it on skin tags and the such. Wart remover may leave a crater in your skin also since I have used this product before. It heals up but then there may be a pink spot left where it once was. from IllinoisFrom: Kathleen Blake <kathleenblake@...>iodine Sent: Fri, January 15, 2010 12:42:51 PMSubject: Re: Re: Basal cell --spots on face

Thanks for the response on age spots and peroxide! I would love to get rid of

my age spots! I am on iodoral 50mg for thyroid issues and feeling much better.

The vanity in me is still working on my age spots!

Thanks again,

Cyn,

I have tried the drug store hydrogen peroxide with baking soda on my spots and they go away in about 3 weeks. Here is a quote that I found:

Transdermal Medicine and Skin Cancer

Dr. Tullio Simoncini states, “Every tumour of the skin can be completely removed with Iodine Tincture 7%, brushed many times (10-20) a day.[vii] When the crust is formed, don’t take it away, but treat the area continuously and wait until it falls without any other intervention except the Iodine tincture. When the crust falls down the third time, the patient is healed.”

“In cases where the tumor has invaded a coetaneous-mucous transitional zone like the anus, eyelids, vagina or mouth,” Simoncini continues saying, “it is necessary to perform a preliminary treatment of the mucous area with sodium bicarbonate and then, after the elimination of the colonies existing there, proceed to treat the cutis with iodine solution. It is appropriate to highlight that the same type of therapy is to be applied also to psoriasis and to the known fungi afflictions. In fact, the difference between coetaneous mycosis, psoriases and tumors consists only of a variation of aggressiveness and thus of depth of rooting, since the causal agent is always the same: a fungus. Sometimes for the therapy, other corrosive salts can be used in function of the location in the body.”

Castor oil rubbed on age spots slowly helps them to fade. (keep rubbing the oil on the spot for about 25 seconds, three times a day.) It also works to make moles disappear as well, just have to be sure to do it religiously. Kathleen

My son just had a procedure called the Mose Procedure where he went in and they take very thin slices and then look at it under a microscope and do mapping. They then call you back in and take another slice until they see that it is TOTALLY gone. The procedure takes a long time....six hours for my son and he only had to go back in twice to get it all removed. His was on his nose also and the stitches were VERY tiny and now that he has them out you can hardly tell for the scar. THis is all done in one day.VeniziaFrom: coloredoctave <joanlulich@...>Subject: Re: Basal cell --spots on faceTo:

The article was written by CJ Puotinen. Here is an excerpt:

"How much damage can these salves cause? while seeking treatment from an unlicensed naturopath for a sore shoulder in 1984, Idaho resident Ruth Conrad complained about a bump on her nose. the naturopath diagnosed it as cancer and gave her a black salve to apply. Her face became very painful and she developed red streaks that ran down her cheeks. The naturopath said the presence of lines was a good sign, and he advised her to apply more of the black salve. Within a week, a large part of her face, including her nose, sloughed off, requiring three years and 17 plastic surgeries to reconstruct her face.

Some have obtained good results from using black salve for skin cancers on the face, but this is one area to approach with extreme care and caution."

"Most bloodroot salves also contain zinc chloride, which is said to make the salve more effective by helping it penetrate deeper. It also makes it more likely to burn and cause scarring.

Vol., 15, NO. 4 July/August 2006 Well Being Journal

It is our responsibility to know the dangers of natural treatments so we can be judicious in our self-treatment.

You're welcome. How long have you been having treatments. I did not read your very first post.VeniziaFrom: mbmom123 <lathe30248@...>Subject: Re: Basal cell --spots on faceiodine Date: Saturday, January 16, 2010, 10:49 AM

Thanks Venezia; that is the procedure they mentioned came next--my issue is that I now have more spots (5) than when I began treatment (1) :(

I have applied castor oil to my age spots and they have gone away. Also a paste

of baking soda and water applied nightly to my basal cell spots caused them to

go away in about 3 - 4 weeks.
