The other night I took an epsom salt bath, the first one in forever but after reading about detoxing with epsom salt baths I thought I'd give it a try. Plus magnesium brings my pulse down to normal when I take it so I figured I'd absorb some through the skin and it would relax me a bit.Soooo I ran the bath and added Epsom salts while it was filling so they would dissolve nicely, and decided to add some baking soda too, so I did.I got my order from Swanson earlier in the day, with my Dr Bronner's tea tree oil soap so I decided to try that as well. First thing, soap doesn't lather as well in epsom salt water with baking soda, LOL. But while the tap was running I wet my hair and used the soap. Then rinsed, with tap water. And washed with the soap. After I was done, I stood up to turn on the shower to rinse well and lather up one more time, I've never been much of a bath

person. The water was an awful gray color. I mean a cloudy gray. Yuck. And somehow during the rinsing off In the tub I got bath water in my hair and it was stiff. But it was curly! Well three days later And the stiffness has finally begun to wash out but it's still curly! My hair had lost all of it's curl early on when my HypoT symptoms started getting worse. And it had gotten very thin and limp. Well by golly it's still curly, and has been since that epsom salt bath, and it feels thicker.Has anyone ever heard of epsom salts doing that to a person's hair? Did it detox my hair or what? It feels coarser but kind of sticky like I put hairspray in it, and I've washed it several times since then. What could be causing the sticky? Toxins in the hair shaft? I'm tempted to put a little emu oil in it and let it soak in as an oil treatment and see what happens.I've never

heard of anything like this before, ever. And I'm extremely curious.Bethann-- Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.Albert Einstein
