Newbie: Newly Prescribed Lugol's and wondering what to expect

Hi,

I have been hypo for about 8-9 years; on Synthroid (and still sick; discovered

natural hormones about 2 years ago (first Armour; and now on compounded

thyroid); and finally feeling good (after 5 doctors). But, still struggling with

weight loss and have a few goiter nodules.

My doctor is prescribing Lugol's, which he says will help shrink the goiter

nodules slowly, and should also aid in weight loss.

Just wondering what to expect as I am picking up my prescription this

afternoon--i.e. side effects, etc? Also did you have any weight loss success to

go with it?
