Guest guest
I have wanted to put a post on here for some time re my mum who I firmly believe has always been iodine deficient/hypo(hence my problems). She is 71 and has mitral valve regurgitation. She also has osteoporosis and glaucoma & hiatus hernia & suffers from sinusitis. She is on a concoction of medication and has taken Amioderone in the past for fibrillation which is the only drug that really worked. She has also had ablation which did not work and they want to do it again. I think the reason Amioderone worked was because it is 40% iodine but I think it has other toxic effects. She is taking Fleconide, Bendraflumethiazide (both diuretics)Perindopril,Warfarin and Omeprazole. I have always felt it is a bit late to help her but she cannot have a pacemaker and she is very reluctant to have the abalation again (which is not very nice)so I am wondering that if there is a chance of something helping her on here. I am not really able to advise her because of all her medication but perhaps magnesium/ iodine/Vit C/ salt may be beneficial? I thought perhaps start with magnesium oil spray or and vitc C. She did have a thyroid test recently but it must be sub clinical because they have not said it was abnormal. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you. Adrienne.
