Guest guest
Depending on where on your neck but it sounds like a lymph node. I have used Lymphomyostat from HEEL (homeopathic) to help my lymphs during RAI treatment. Here is a good video to show how to massage the neck nodes. Steph Could this be another detox symptom? I was washing my neck this a.m. and found a huge visible swelling, a little sore, and nearly the size of a golf ball on my neck. Having had my thyroid removed I know it is not that (and it's in the wrong place!) So my first thought was a lymph gland swelling. This could quite possibly be my 4th detox symptom. I am going to start a serious program of trying to clear out the toxic chemicals. BUT I am wondering... do you continue the Iodoral while doing a detox as quickly as possible? Thanks for any ideas and help on this...Michele (NoCal)p.s. I'm on the way to the dentist, so he will be my first professional opinion in just a few minutes! Guest guest
Yes, I think for sure it is a lymph node and the DDS confirmed this. They also thought it might be allergies but I think it is too coincidental that it is right after I upped my Iodoral again. Don't see the link for the video? that would be helpful! Thanks very much! Guest guest
I had a nasty eczema rash when I start that was quite uncomfortable. I was cutting back the iodine thinking I was unable to tolerate it but after listening to a webinar specifically about using iodine I upped it back to 50mg. After a couple of weeks on 50 mg, I am happy to report the rash is nearly gone and my skin is almost completely healed. I just had to get the other toxins out with the use of Celtic Salt and I'm pleased that I seem to be tolerating fairly well now! I think a liver cleanse might still be a good idea and am hoping to tackle after a vacation! Thanks so much for all the help and the ideas given so generously along the way! Guest guest
Hello, The timing of this post was interesting as I have been on 50 mg of iodoral for 2 months, took 6 months to get up to this dose and now have an eczema like rash for the last 2 weeks on my face, worse on my eyelids. I was thinking this was a detox reaction as I have never had skin issues like this before. I think I will cut back for a few days and do some salt loading and see if that helps. Do you have any other suggestions? I also started milk thistle at about 2 weeks ago which also makes me think I am pushing toxins out too fast for what my body can handle. Doing all the companion supps but could certaily up my Vit C intake. Thanks everyone for the support, > > I had a nasty eczema rash when I start that was quite uncomfortable. Guest guest
Well I can tell you that I only took about 2-3 weeks to get to the 50 and the rash started fairly soon after starting even the 12.5mg. BUT as I persisted at 50 and did some of the supportive stuff like the salt and Vit C, it seemed to clear up and is now about gone all together. I would say do the detox and stay at the 50 but I'm fairly new at this so ask the mods for input too! Best wishes, Michele > > Hello, > > The timing of this post was interesting as I have been on 50 mg of iodoral for 2 months, took 6 months to get up to this dose and now have an eczema like rash for the last 2 weeks on my face, worse on my eyelids. Guest guest
Thank you Michele, I'll stick with it and I appreciate you detailing your experience and glad you are doing better. And if anyone else has had a similar experience I'd really like to learn about it and also see what worked for you. Guest guest
Don't know if I mentioned that I did take a 1/2 tsp Celtic salt pretty regularly (nearly every day, if I don't forget! Take this in 4ox warm water and then follow it with as much water as I can stand, about 12-16 oz with each 1/2tsp salt. I think that helped also1 thanks, Michele (NoCal) > > Thank you Michele, I'll stick with it and I appreciate you detailing your experience and glad you are doing better.
