Guest guest Posted February 22, 2010 Report Share Posted February 22, 2010 Hi , My husband just received the results of his bromide/iodide tests from Hakala Labs: Spot urinary Iodide level: .210 mg/L Spot urinary bromide level: 15.9 mg/L 24 Hour Iodine excreted: 43.4 mg (87%) 24 Hour bromide excreted: 62.3 mg This looks like close to your bromide toxicity! His bromide level is causing the false iodide/iodine level. (right?) He's been taking 37.5mg for the last week following the tests and hasn't suffered any detox symptoms. He'll start 50mg tomorrow.
