Guest guest
Can anyone help with advice about a good starting dose for Iodoral? I am starting my daughter (age 18) on iodine because she has been gradually (over about 2 months) developing hypothyroid symtpoms which have suddenly gotten much worse in the past two weeks (severe fatigue, brain fog, anxiety and weepiness, cold, pale skin, poor appetite, etc.). Right now, I am thinking the source of the problem may be a gluten intolerance which is affecting her absorption of nutrients. So I am starting her on iodine for thyroid support, Vitamin C, Celtic Sea salt and a good multi-vitamin. I just don't know how much Iodoral to tell her to take. I want enough to be effective, but not so much that she suffers from taking too much too suddenly. Would 12.5mg a day be a good start????
