Guest guest
I know people with AF are recommended to take Sea salts to bring up sodium levels. Also I learned it can also leach out undesired bromides. What is the practical difference between Celtic sea salt and other types. I currently have Mediterranean sea salts. Is this effectively the same a Celtic?
Guest guest
Does anyone use Sole Therapy. Original Himalayan Crystal Salt and water - let sit overnight I use dowsing to find out how much I need but even a small amount in water does wonders. This produces a lower salt content but one receives lots of energy. They want one to use well water or some good water. Look up on the Internet. Guest guest
As long as your salt is labeled " unrefined " you are fine. Unrefined salt is a required companion nutrient for supplementing with iodine. -- At 08:47 PM 5/23/2010, you wrote: >I know people with AF are recommended to take Sea salts to bring up sodium >levels. Guest guest
hmmmm well I hope it only gets better for you. I went for a long time feeling good on 90mg Armour. Then I slowly started getting worse, had to get HC and then immediately increased to 240mg Armour. the last thing I added was Iodoral, now taking 100mg. Guest guest
Thank you. I took Synthroid-type thyroid for 13 or 14 years and finally changed to Armour-type around 2006 or so, instantly had huge improvement. It wasn't until 2008 that I got diagnosed with the adrenal exhaustion, after a huge cross-country move and subsequent stresses. The Integrative Med MD I saw strongly believed I could restart my adrenal function, my ND/acupuncturist agrees but also said if I needed to stay on the Isocort all my life that would be ok (the IM MD disagreed on that). In any case, I'm waking up in the morning actually awake, for maybe the first time in my life. So I definitely have evidence that I'm doing really well. I'm not willing to not be well, if there's anything that can be done, so I am keeping an eye out. And I know the kind of nausea that results from low adrenals, I had it for years. The nausea that is occurring when I take the Isocort is in direct response to the taking the meds. I appreciate the input, I will definitely keep my eyes open about how I'm feeling. And as soon as I'm able, I'll get tested. -- At 09:38 AM 5/27/2010, you wrote: >hmmmm >well I hope it only gets better for you. I went for a long time >feeling good on 90mg Armour. Guest guest
So, ...If I'm going to take 1 tablespoon daily (which I believe is the same as double what I was taking), how would you suggest dividing it, considering that I'm taking it for adrenal fatigue AND for maximum salt loading benefit (to help counteract weight gain from bromide detox)? How would you divide it and at what intervals would you take it? Thanks, Sherry > > > > > > >I know people with AF are recommended to take Sea salts to bring up > > > > sodium > > > > > > >levels. Guest guest
Sherry-- There seems to be some mistake about the salt loading question. The reason for the salt loading is for acute, immediate symptoms such as headaches. It's been said that by the time someone is having skin eruptions (which take longer to develop), or perhaps weight gain, that the problem is other detoxification pathways are not working correctly, therefore there is a backing up in the body of detox wastes, causing these deeper symptoms. Salt loading is not going to repair deeper detox-pathway problems on its own-- it's really only for acute symptom relief. You would need to do the gallbladder/liver detox protocols in order to jumpstart your detox pathways again. So, number one, to lose the weight you will have to do more extensive detox-pathway clearing. Number two, unrefined salt is required for the iodine protocol to function properly, and it is needed by the adrenals. I would therefore just take the salt in whatever form is comfortable for you, in all your water all day, whatever works. I feel like I really need to stress that over and over again, we've discussed that if a person has to do salt loading every day for more than a week, then it's time to back off on the iodine and go slower with it, and work on improving one's detox pathways. If a person is having that many detox symptoms for that long, a different approach has to be made. What that also means that trying to " salt load " your way to losing the weight is not going to work, because there are other detox-pathway issues that have to be resolved. So my advice, based on everything I've learned, is to try taking the Tablespoon of salt every day in whatever way is most comfortable for you, and to also undertake the gallbladder and liver detox procedures that have been discussed here widely. There are versions of it that are very low cost that only involve lemon juice and olive oil as expenses (I think). Then there are versions that cost more that include targeted supplementation. The cheaper version is probably going to be rougher on the body, cause more intense sensations in the process, but will get the job done. The more expensive version will be easier to endure and will also get the job done. If you've already done it once, everyone says that needing to do it 2 to 3 times a year, ongoingly, is not unusual and often prescribed. -- At 01:04 PM 5/27/2010, you wrote: >So, ...If I'm going to take 1 tablespoon daily (which I believe is >the same as double what I was taking), how would you suggest dividing it, >considering that I'm taking it for adrenal fatigue AND for maximum salt >loading benefit (to help counteract weight gain from bromide detox)? > >How would you divide it and at what intervals would you take it? > >Thanks, >Sherry > > > > > > > > > > >I know people with AF are recommended to take Sea salts to > bring up > > > > > sodium > > > > > > > >levels. Guest guest
Gracia...you're on 100mg of iodine and how much Armour now? Did you reduce from the 240mg when you started the higher doses of iodine? > > >I hope your adrenals are healing, but the symptoms of heart racing and > > >nausea are also low adrenal symptoms. adrenal supp might not be enough. > > >Gracia > > > > > > > > > > > >
