Vicky,

Welcome to the Iodine Group! To learn more about how to get started, go to the

left side of the web page and click on " Links, " then click on " Iodine Basics. "

In the " Basics " folder there's a link to " Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ),

there you'll find information on how to get started on the Iodine Protocol. This

is important to read, as are all the informative links sent to you when you

became a member.

Also, review the books and literature. It would be worth your while to read

" Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It " by Brownstein,

MD. You can purchase it at Amazon.com.

If you have difficulties accessing or understanding this information, follow

this post up with another post with specific questions.

Best, Greg

Thank you Greg!

It seems those emails were in my junk box but I have found them now so I will start reading them today!

One more question is the book "Why you need it, why you can't live without it" available in book stores? Or do I have to order it online?

I only have one "Emergency" cc so I would rather not use it if I don't have to.

I do understand I will have to buy the Iodine online and that's ok, I might be able to do that.

Thanks again Greg.

Vicky,

I've never seen Dr. Brownstein's book in a book store. Also, you might want to

check out the Iodine Group's sister website: www.iodine4health.com

Breast Cancer Choices: http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/ is a popular source

among members for purchasing Iodoral, the preferred iodine supplement, though

there are other options you might want to explore such as Lugol's iodine.

Breastcancerchoices is non profit organization and all proceeds go to a good

cause. When starting out supplementing with iodine, it's often recommended to

start with small doses. The Iodoral tablets are scored and can easily be

divided. If you have dosing questions after reading the literature, I'm sure

other members will be available to answer them.

Also, keep in mind that the Iodine Group is about the " Iodine Protocol, " a

comprehensive program used for achieving the optimal utilization of iodine. When

the PROTOCOL is followed it's health benefits can be far-reaching. Some of the

companion nutrients you'll want to become familiar with are: selenium, ATP

Cofactors (B3 and B2), vitamin c, magnesium, adequate water intake, sea salt. .

.. among others when indicated. Also, you'll want to familiarize yourself with

the potential detox symptoms and the protocol(s) for dealing with these

symptoms.

I'm a part time member, not an expert on iodine. The moderators: ,

and Kathleen, and the other members of the group will better be able to

guide you, addressing your individual needs. And it's essential that you begin

educating yourself on the basics.

Once again, welcome to the group.
