Guest guest
~6 mg (half of an Iodoral) taken in the morning only once. Saliva that wouldn't stop and a nearly sleepless night with high heart rate is what followed. That was 3 days ago. Saliva and heart rate are back to normal, and sleeping just fine now. Concerned about giving it another go or not. > > What are you taking, how much iodine are you taking and when are you taking it? > > Buist, ND > > > Excessive saliva and sleeplesness > > > > Do excessive saliva generation and sleeplessness indicate that someone falls within the ~5% category of people who react negatively to iodine? >
Guest guest
I just read that excessive saliva could be from mercury detox. Are you doing the companion supplements? You might want to try pulse dosing every other day or once a week if it's really bad. ~W On 2/10/11, lsayre@... <lsayre@...> wrote: > ~6 mg (half of an Iodoral) taken in the morning only once. Guest guest
I've been having sleeplesness - waking up in the middle of the night and cut back on my dosage today also. I also was breaking out a lot. In the beginning of the week, my nose was also a little runny not long after taking the iodine. I saw that was a sign to possibly cut back. My cycle this month though is more normal than it's been in a very long time! Does iodine correct that (depending on what the cause has been)? Guest guest
Yes. Iodine is used in large amounts by all the reproductive organs. A runny nose is not a sign to " cut back " ... it's a sign you're releasing bromides. Acne is a sign your detox pathways are not working as well as they should, so the advice is to cut back slightly and give the iodine more time to soak at the current dose before raising it again. Also to do work on your detox pathways so that your body can clear the released bromides through the urine instead of it going through the skin. If people are having sleeplessness following iodine, make sure to take your whole dose in the morning, not at night. It will give your body new energy, which it will eventually adjust to, but may at the beginning be confusing to your body and your mind. Welcome the energy! -- >A lack of iodine can be part of the product with menstrual issues. Guest guest
Thank you . I had a feeling it was detox, but I did not realize the runny nose was a sign that I am releasing bromides. What is the best method of releasing bromide? I take all the companion nutrients as well as the Celtic Sea Salt. I probably also need to drink more water than I am. I also think I had gone up too quickly on the dosage and should probably just take it a little slower to give it more time to soak as per your suggestion. Guest guest
I found that taking iodine in the am helped it not to bug my sleep, but if you're waking in the night, try taking a protein/fat snack before bed. This has made quite a difference for me. Guest guest
There is a wide range of tests for mercury -- many of which contradict each other. The problem with mercury is that the tests tend to test EXCRETION, & the mercury that kills you is the mercury you can't excrete -- the mercury locked up in your organs. A clean mercury test often means only that you are not excreting mercury. In the best case, that would mean that there is none in your body to excrete. In the worst case, that would mean that you were so toxic that your body's detox paths had all ceased to function -- so loaded with mercury that you couldn't get rid of any of it.AnneOn Feb 12, 2011, at 3:41 AM, lsayre@... wrote: I actually had myself tested for mercury (among other metals), and it came back as undetectable (or beneath the level of detectability). > >> > >> What are you taking, how much iodine are you taking and when are you > >> taking it? > >> > >> Buist, ND > >> > >> > >> Excessive saliva and sleeplesness > >> > >> > >> > >> Do excessive saliva generation and sleeplessness indicate that someone > >> falls within the ~5% category of people who react negatively to iodine? > >> > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I’m new to the group and although I haven’t had any metals testing I have heard that the best way to do it is to take high doses 3000mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) for 48 hours (2days) prior to testing , because it is a natural chelator and without pulling the metals out prior to testing it will be stored throughout the body. The Liver is protective in that it won’t allow these metals to flow freely through our bodies and the accurate way to test for metal is this. Most doctors realize this as do drug co. and they know that without a chelator you will get false negatives. I am saving up money to do it and see how it works but someone whom has already had a false negative using this protocol and retesting would prove that point. Guest guest
You're releasing bromides by taking iodine. Yes, drinking more water washes the bromides out better. Yes, slow down your increases (although, some people feel much better, fewer detox symptoms, when they take higher doses and worse on lower). If by " best method of releasing bromide " you meant, what are ways to work on your detox pathways, there are a number of ways to do that. Some people do the liver/gallbladder flush (the instructions are on the website, I think), others do various herbal/nutritional programs. -- At 01:54 PM 2/12/2011, you wrote: >Thank you . Guest guest
It's certainly a sign of better health and undeniable that the iodine is doing good things. And it is AMAZING! What is so sad is living so long with the problem when it is so easily remedied. --V At 10:54 PM 2/16/2011, you wrote: >It makes me feel so much better having my feet warm again – like summer >time!!
