First of all you should be on a complete vitamin/mineral supplement, and

especially vit. C. This is to improve your general health.

Iodine will not improve the cortisol level. You probably have low adrenal

function. Doctors may treat this with cortisone, but you may try also adrenal

support supplements at your local vitamin store.

It would help you see adrenal progress by learning about the temperature graph,

and how to track your temperature.

We seem to be very short on iodine, and it has done a lot of good things for me.

But take your calcium supplement at a different time then when you take the

iodine. They interfere with each other.>

Kobra,

I noticed that you live in Indiana. I was born in the heart of the Goiter Belt

in Fort Wayne, IN, though I've been living in New York for well over 30 years.

Where do you live in Indiana?

A few/several years ago I received a call from my sister, who also lives in

Indiana, concerned that she might have to go to surgery for bleeding ovarian and

uterine cysts. She was beginning to loose a lot of blood. Her doctor was

pressing her to schedule surgery, and she was searching for alternatives.

We did some research and devised a daily program consisting of *Essential Fatty

Acids (6-8 borage oil caps by ARG) and **Evening Primrose Oil (6-1300mg caps),

Lipase Concentrate to assist in the digestion of the lipids (Tyler), Vitamin C

(3 grams), and a Multi-Vi-Min and Anti-Ox formula (cysteine free) by ARG, and

LOTS of water. The oils were the primary focus of the therapy. Had we known more

about iodine at the time, I'm sure she would have also taken Lugol's or Iodoral.

[Note: ARG is Allergy Research Group]

Three weeks after she started this program she was examined by her doctor, and

to his utter amazement the bleeding had stopped and he found NO signs of cysts.

.. . they had vanished!!

You may be able to learn more useful, therapeutic information about cysts and

evening primrose oil at this OvarianCyst website:

http://www.ovariancystatoz.com/evening-primrose-oil-ovarian-cyst.html

You might also want to check out the Iodine Group's files and links. Also, the

group's moderators: , , and Kathleen, as well as the other

members in the group are well informed - keep asking questions, I'm sure they'll

be helpful.

Oh, yes, welcome to the Iodine Group. Good luck.

Best, Greg

> Hi there. I went to see an internal med doc because I am 33 with a list

longer than a rap sheet of medical problems. Nothing like cancer or anything

but I have tons of ovarian cysts, I have an adrenal gland cyst on my right side,

I have a benign tumor near the pituitary gland. My blood tests have revealed

LOW cortisone and normal thyroid function. The internal med doc suggested

iodine which I was blown away by as they usually treat with pharma so I was very

excited. BUT, of course I am scared and confused and need to read up more but

my question mainly I guess would be is there anything that you should NOT

combine with Iodoral namely supplements. AND, do you think the low cortisol

could be changed with Iodine? Please help any way you can, new to all this!

Thanks so much!

Have no fear about iodine. You're very fortunate your doc is prescribing

it. There is absolutely nothing to fear, the fear of iodine is a

manufactured untruth and there is no basis for it. Iodine is essential to

life, both physically, mentally, and intellectually.

There are no counterindications for combining with iodine. Iodine does help

the metabolism and helps everything function better, but you may still need

adrenal supplementation to fully heal. I was able to heal my adrenal

fatigue with Vit C, unrefined salt, Vit E, Isocort, and pregnenolone. I

was also taking the iodine protocol, but I was doing even more Vit C and

the salt that is called for.

Be sure to do the whole iodine protocol, each element is there for a reason

and it helps your body make use of the iodine better and have fewer detox

symptoms.

keep asking questions.
