This is 1/2 tsp unrefined salt per day, plus liberal use on food. Some people use even more as their standard daily dose, especially people with adrenal fatigue. This standard supplement amount can be taken mixed with water, it can be taken by putting it in empty capsules, it can be taken by ensuring you use that full amount on food throughout the day. It doesn't matter how you take the salt that is the portion for the companion nutrient, as long as you take it every day. This is different from what is called salt loading. Everyone taking iodine should be taking the standard companion salt dose every day. The body needs the salt to utilize the iodine. So if you are referring to the standard companion unrefined salt daily dose, that's not called salt loading.--~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~--A.J.
