Guest guest
Because doctors are not educated on natural therapies. Iodine cannot be patented. One of the pills I took for a RAI treatment was over $6,000. There's money to be made off the sick. They don't want us well. Steph Iodoral vs RAI Just curious, if anyone knows:If iodine in Iodoral induces programmed cell death,i.e. it kills cancer cells and protects healthy cells, why isn't regular iodine given instead of radioactive iodine to kill cancerous thyroid tissue? Is it only because regular iodine takes too long and requires more of patients(following a protocol)than they are willing to do? Guest guest
do you think this is the only reason? just wondering? Guest guest
Yes, I absolutely agree ! For example, even as recent as the 1970's, the AMA insisted that the foods we eat had nothing to do with cancer! And before that, in the 1940's, said that smoking was not a cause of cancer. As they say, follow the money. Guest guest
Money is absolutely a huge driver-- they want lifelong customers, not a healthy and free populace. I think in the case of iodine there are a few other factors. Number one, the phony " Wolf-Chaikoff " effect (I don't think I spelled Wolf correctly) resulted in complete iodine phobia and even though it has long been debunked they are still teaching iodine phobia in medical school (and took iodine out of bread and flour and replaced it with bromine). Second, Western medicine wants instant results for cancer treatments, thus cutting and radiation, and there is even an unspoken but definitely present tendency to believe that if the treatment doesn't poison you and make you sick (e.g. chemo), it can't really be working. The idea that building nutrition to get rid of disease is STILL argued against vociferously. For example, all over Wikipedia, which is totally hijacked by medical conventionalists who want to preserve the status quo, the entries for nutritional supplements tend to say that there is no evidence for nutrition affecting disease (or any other traditional or folk or alternative modality). (And anyone who tries to edit this so-called " open encyclopedia " to reflect the truth is instantly overruled by the Wikipedia medical powers that be, and they are so quick about it and so constant and omnipresent that those people HAVE to be being paid to do it.) Pardon my passion on this, but it really chaps my hide that Wikipedia is hijacked on health issues. But that's just an example of the level to which Industrialized Medicine is protecting its territory. -- >Yes, I absolutely agree ! Guest guest
The Merck Manual suggests Lugol's as treatment for both hypo and hyperthyroid conditions. Dr. Abraham addressed the issues of the Wolffe Chaikoff issue here: http://www.optimox.com/pics/Iodine/IOD-04/IOD_04.html Steph Re: Iodoral vs RAI>>>>Because doctors are not educated on natural therapies. Guest guest
Toxic Multinodular Goiter Toxic multinodular goiter develops autonomic function and secretes thyroid hormone within the nodules. is this what you're talking about? Konstantine From: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>iodine Sent: Sat, October 23, 2010 4:46:20 PMSubject: Re: Iodoral vs RAI That only happens in autonomic (spell?) functioning nodules. Not in the general individual. It is a rare condition. Steph Re: Iodoral vs RAI>>>>Because doctors are not educated on natural therapies. Iodine cannot be >patented. Guest guest
I think what she was alluding to is what the doctors also allude to. Therefore, this is important to know. Is there someone you can ask if this is what is meant by toxic nodules? or a separate incidence? This message was written by Zoe (the first owner) on July 11, 2006 and I won't even try to guess what she was alluding to. I don't think I was even a member of the group back then. I may have been. There has been a lot more learned about iodine since 2006. Re: Iodoral vs RAI>>>>Because doctors are not educated on natural therapies. Iodine cannot be >patented. Guest guest
I don't know if that is what she meant. Mechanisms not functioning properly can mean more than this type of nodule. There are many many enzyme reactions that can go haywire. Unfortunately I don't have time to chase this down right now. I am trying to complete my ND degree by January. I am also enrolled in another school and have a family. Time is tight - it's 11:30 here and I am still working. Sorry. Re: Iodoral vs RAI>>>>Because doctors are not educated on natural therapies.
