without good ferritine and good cortisol it is difficult to raise thyroid medication. levothyroxine is not the best choice, you should look at something like former armour

Hi everybody, I am new here, and many years ago I had a partial thyroidectomy, have been on levothyroxine ever since.   Anyway, I was tested about three weeks ago (T4 ) and my levels were 12. 5 and so they upped my levo, since then I have been exeedingly breathless and my heart rate has gone up, this is quite a worry  and I wonder if any of you could advise.  They don't do T3 etc here as the norm, so I guess i will need to get that done privately.   Any suggestions in the meantime would be appreciated.....

Thanks

Celia
