Guest guest
In my experience, treating for candida and following a candida diet turned things around. I am still following the diet after learning that both my mercury and my lead leavels were astronomically high and both of those feed candida. I will be introducing DMSA as part of the chelation process in January and have been advised that it could trigger a resurgence of candida so I am staying on the anti candida program until I am certain there will be no problems from the DMSA introduction. Seriously though, taking care of the candida issue shifted things profoundly in so many ways. I feel better, move better, think better, and my body is processing toxins far far better. For those who are experiencing weight gain on iodine, I encourage you to try treating candida. Best of luck. Guest guest
I strongly suggest you check out Cutler's chelation protocol, if you haven't already. Guest guest
My weight gain has occurred while taking lower doses of Iodoral. I had to gradually work my way up due to anxiety and throat swelling. A couple days ago I was able to take three tablets (37.5). Tomorrow I'm going to try four tabs (50mg). I've also been prescribed Cortef for adrenal insufficiency and a small amount of Armour (1/4 grain) which I think will be raised on Friday. So it's hard to tell what's causing what. Also...I'm the one with liver congestion and no gallbladder. I believe that has a lot to do with weight problems. Good luck to you! > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > Yes, lemon water is good for the liver but not an effective way to > > detoxify. > > > Milk thistle seed and dandelion root and leaf are also great for support > > and > > > even detoxification (although it will probably be a slow process if used > > by > > > themselves). Guest guest
Forgot to mention that I believe it's important to drink a LOT of water. > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > > > Yes, lemon water is good for the liver but not an effective way to > > > > detoxify. > > > > > Milk thistle seed and dandelion root and leaf are also great > > > for support > > > > and > > > > > even detoxification (although it will probably be a slow > > > process if used > > > > by > > > > > themselves). Guest guest
, I would love to know what supplements you used besides the ones mentioned and what carbs did you allow yourself? Did you follow any particular program or just do it yourself? Is there an online list of foods to avoid or a book? Thanks Pat > > I am currently taking 150 mg Iodoral, 5 days a week with two days off. I have LOST over 35 lb since mid June. I don't know how much because I don't weigh unless I have to and the last time I had to was a month ago so I could do my heavy metals test. They needed to know my weight so they could prescribe the correct amount of DMSA. > > For me, the ticket is (as with everyone), to keep your insulin levels low. Insulin triggers your body to either store fat (if insulin is high) or release fat (if insulin levels are maintained at a nice steady level). > > Also, I had to treat candida before seeing any real progress. I did that with diet (next to no carbs for 3 months), and supplements (GSE, Candex, Yeast Defense, and a couple of others I'd have to look up). I feel a thousand percent better and I know I'm continuing to lose weight because I can feel it in the way I move and how my clothing fits. Which is to say, it doesn't any more and I've had to go down another size. Yea! > > Hope this helps. > > Tressler > Healthy Transitions Life Coaching > 541-791-1464 > > Help raise funds for Legacy Land Conservancy by searching the internet or shoping online with GoodSearch (www.goodsearch.com). >
