Am trying to sort out what is going on so I can advise the endo when I see him

next week. (only way to deal with 'em)

Have just got my test results back and they are

Free T3 4.6 (3.5-6.5)

Free T4 5.3 (9-21)

TSH Don't know, it's usually o.o2

Iron level 14.5 (10-28)

Have hashimotos with antibody count of 1737 and have been unable to lose weight

despite 3 1 hour sessions at gym for past 10 weeks. Weight went on when the

endo tried me out on 150 mcg t4 only, just before christmas. He then changed me

to 100T4 and 10 t3, then in march changed again to 50mcg T4 and 20mcg T3.

Since being on 50 mcg of t4 have not had usual diorrhea and am ok ish.

I've got loads of test results going back several years and the pattern seems to

be that whether i'm on 10mcg t3, 20 mcg t3 or no t3 and T4 only, the free t3 is

always around 4.5 (3.5 - 6.5).

However, on T4 only I put on weight and feel awful. 150mcg T4 gives me 17 of

free t4, 100 mcg gives me 12 of free t4 and 50 gives me 5 of free t4 . I think

I may have a problem with reverse t3 being too high, I know that there is

supposed to be some reverse t3 to help you get rid of the unused T4, but if you

have too much it stuffs up the amount of t3 your body can use... (Is this

right?) Any advice gratefully received.

Have just started taking trace elements, and iron, b3, b12 and seleniuium, Dr

would only test for iron and b12. B12 test not back yet.

Thanks
