Struggling seeing eye to eye with my Endo.

Seems to have excepted my Adrenal issue. Gave him my results from the labe (salival cortisol 24hrs) and info about the NAE I'd gone on. Brought print out of the ingredients of the NAE, and he said "so long as it does no harm". So felt good that I'd made him aware of this important related issue issue and how to treatto treat. I think he found it interesting. He certainly knows that I'm perhaps not the typical patient he is used to ie: determined to do the very best to get better!!

Have a problem, though, about dosage. He wanted me to stay on 30mgs (1/2 grain) for 2 weeks, but I'd only stayed on this dose for 7 days as it says in so much of the literature I've read and on the tpa websiteas well. He's wanting to test me at approx. 3 weeks into this dose to see what the blood results come back like before increasing again. He seems to be very heavily reliant on the blood tests, though I keep trying to say "Shouldn't it be more about alleviation of symptoms"?

How can I get him around to my way of thinking?

When I saw him at the end of June, I'd only been on the NAE for 5 days, and was due to start back on Armour a few days later, which I did. He asked me if I could give a number to how I felt the PREVIOUS time I'd seen him, what would it be? My reply was 0. (I felt pretty rock bottom, then). He thught that was a bit"negative", so I said 10. Then he asked what I felt NOW, and I said 18. I can understand the reasoning behind this question, it IS I suppose a good way to see progression, etc. And I suppose too, I can use this to my advantage to make sure I get, hopefully in the end, the dosage I feel best on.

But...I feel trapped by his test regime. Please, PLEASE help! I like this Endo and don't really want to have to change, AND i'm getting the script on the NHS too!!

What advice do you have for me??

Thanks very much-
