Hi Sheila,

I had appt with my GP today. we discussed my tsh which she agreed is ok but said

I was probably over treating. I am taking Armour at the moment (which the GP

doesn't know) 2 and half having reduced half a tablet because I was struggling

in the hot weather.

I asked her in light of this and as I am still feeling hypo symptom including

fatigue would she test me for the following Ferritin, B12, Vitamin D3,

magnesium, copper and zinc.

As I am about to have a final appt with Cardio (for regular heart beat which

tests haven't found anything) and a first appt with Gastro ( for constant

diarrhoea) she wanted me to have these appts first to see if they came up with a

reason for my fatigue etc. I asked if she would do them if they didn't come up

with anything she sort of said she would.

She looked at the first two test and said they were ok as the weren't too

expensive. I feel very frustrated and annoyed with all this. One because I have

to wait another month or longer and 2 because she was talking about the expense.

If I don't get any better I will want to apply for sick pay or what ever it is

called these days and I am sure that will cost a lot more than a few tests.

Is there any way I could have these done privately not that I want to pay but

think it may the only way forward. Either that or can I just supplement these

without the tests.

Thanks for you help

judy
