Guest guest
Hi Sheila/ all, Have been thinking (for most of the night) and have had a thought (just the one!). It is my job to work with individuals with disabilities to get them into work, and off bnefits as you probably all know, it is a huge DWP agenda to move people from incapacity benefit and back into the working world. The are even phasing out incapacity benefit and replacing it with employment support allowance. This new revelation about armour is huge, in relation to this. If we are talking about the economics of it all which invariably we are then does the dwp know about this recent decision? Also does the dwp know about all of your wonderful work and this forum Sheila? I think it may be an idea to try and get a handle on the facts and figures of people who are unfit for work and claiming benefits that could be made well with a raised awareness of all of this, I know it is a huge task and probably an unknown entity, but if the DWP are trying to reduce claims for incapacity benefit then perhaps we need to be presenting them with this information? Just a thought,
