UNDP South & Southwest Asia Project on HIV & Development

Invitation to 6th ICAAP Participants

Title : Lessons from South Asia: Rights, Gender and HIV

Date/Time : Saturday 6th October 2001,1730hrs – 2030hrs

Organiser : UNDP/UNIFEM

Venue : Bellarine II, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention

The session will analyse critical issues and experiences from the South

Asia related to HIV and the laws & ethical setting; gender issues that impact

the HIV/AIDS epidemic; implications for people living with HIV/AIDS; and the

vulnerability of women and girls to HIV and trafficking. The session will also

include audiovisuals and a launch of new UNDP posters.
