Guest guest
Dear Group Owner/Moderators, I am a member of your group and I appreciate the intelligent conversation and information about FMS that is shared here. I hope you will help with an FMS research initiative that AFFTER is hosting for the third year. You can view the resulting abstracts to similar on-line surveys done the past two years at www.affter.org/research.htm. We are learning so much each time! This year we are particularly interested in what treatments are helpful; and what role background, environment, life events and genetics play for people who go on to develop FMS. Please read the announcement below, and suggest you try the survey out yourself if you want to ensure appropriate content. You will see that each person’s privacy is completely secure. I hope you can help! Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Shari Ferbert President, AFFTER www.affter.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT **CAN BE REPOSTED** Requesting Participants for FMS Research AFFTER - A Fibromyalgia Organization (Advocates for Fibromyalgia Funding, Treatment, Education and Research) AFFTER's 3rd annual F.I.B.R.O. Survey, 2009 (Fibromyalgia Internet Based Research Online) We invite you to participate in our third annual research project involving an on-line survey. Participation in our surveys from the last two years provided data for nine abstracts (research summaries), which helped gain more understanding about this complex condition. These abstracts were selected for presentation at each of the scientific meetings of ACR (American College of Rheumatology) in 2007 and 2008. The abstracts were also published in the Journal of Arthritis and Rheumatism and can be viewed at our website: http://www.affter.org/research.htm This questionnaire should take about 10 minutes to complete; we appreciate you taking the time to participate! Please forward this survey to as many people as possible, whether they have FMS or not. A control group (those without FMS) and a large study sample are very important! Start the survey by clicking this link: F.I.B.R.O. Survey 2009 or paste this URL into your browser: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=hoVU2FsxNax81D9eiOimXw_3d_3d *IMPORTANT: This survey will only be open for two weeks, so prompt action is required. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments. Thank you, Shari Ferbert President, AFFTER Advocates for Fibromyalgia Funding, Treatment, Education and Research www.affter.org
