Iodine for insulin resistance

Hi,

I am new here and had a few questions.

I have central hypothyroidism and possible cushing's disease (still testing)

with resultant insulin resistance. I have been put on Synthroid 112mcg after

adverse effects on Levoxyl (changed about 5 days ago)and so far it seems better.

I am on Ketoconazole to lower the pm cortisol caused by cushing's which seems to

have helped with my sleep. My thought at this time is to start on Iodine to help

with the insulin resistance. Although the Keto will help with that in the

process of lowering my cortisol, I am looking to augment its affects. My concern

is with the central hypothyroidism. Will the iodine be a detriment or will it

help? Only taking it will tell in the end but I was looking for any advice

regarding the use of Iodine with central hypothyroidism vs primary. Thanks.
