Guest guest
I nearly cried when I saw that letter from Thierry Hertoghe - lets hope 'something' gets thru to these people who are only men after all - not a super-race who are un-defeatable. No one here is going to stop taking armour or T3/T4 combination. As more and more thyroid patients get well on the 'Patients Anecdotal Guidelines', the more word of mouth will spread. Perhaps there needs to be a simply stated 'Patients Anecdotal Guideline' published........... jennyfreeman > > > If you cannot receive this as an attachment, I have uploaded this letter > from Dr Thierry Hertoghe to the Royal College of Physicians (re guideline on > > luv - Sheila >
Guest guest
Brilliant news Sheila and thank you so much for all your hard work and campaigning. I for one will be taking a copy of the letter with me to my appointment next week with the latest endoprat. This one did at least admit being within the reference range didn't necessarily mean I'd reached my 'optimal dose' but he was still full of his own importance, rushed me in and out, didn't listen to all my symptoms and like the other one sent me off for more tests despite having commented I'd already had loads!! I was so stressed I didn't think to answer back to the effect that if only people like him would listen to their patients and treat the whole person not the symptoms maybe all the tests wouldn't be necessary . I got the distinct impression he wasn't going to listen to any suggestions of T3/T4 therapy let alone natural thyroid extract but I am feeling mentally if not pyhsically better now and will definitely have my say!! Kind regards and again thank you for your support. >>I wonder with this response and the critique from Lowe whether the RCP et al will still ignore the medical evidence that shows them how wrong they are. luv - Sheila

Guest guest
Hi , yes these Endoprats have had it all their own way when we turn up exhausted and brain-fogged. Gaining knowledge is very self empowering, as does getting some thyroid hormone into our systems. The tragedy of course, is that should any doc agree with you, he/she is laying his livlihood on the line as to prescribe after being told he cant is breaking the law for him and he can end up before the GMC for malpractice. They have to go by the text books, which is why the horror at the new guidelines by the RC Surgeons. Waving away our requests for T3/T4 meds is how they deal with it all. F Knowledge is Power !!!! I got the distinct impression he wasn't going to listen to any suggestions of T3/T4 therapy let alone natural thyroid extract but I am feeling mentally if not pyhsically better now and will definitely have my say!! > Kind regards and again thank you for your support. > > > > > >>I wonder with this response and the critique from Lowe whether the RCP et al will still ignore the medical evidence that shows them how wrong they are. > luv - Sheila >
