Guest guest
Hmmm. Maybe it depends on the city, I think there are some charity hospitals, but you have to prove a low income. Also, some doctors give a discount to uninsured patients, depending on the antibiotic they prescribe, it shouldn't be terribly expensive. Sounds like the naturopathic treatment probably isn't that cheap either. But yes, I'd probably get antibiotics for something like this, especially if you're still seeing poor results with the current treatment. Then use naturopathic treatments to prevent it from coming back. Are you also using heat on it? Is it an outer ear infection, or an inner ear infection? - Re: HELP! for healing painful ear infection In the USA, you can go to an emergency room for free, I believe. > > > Hi Everyone, > > UGHHH!!!,I have been in extreme pain for 3 days now.My entire ear is > swollen,my jaw is locked on the right side, and I cannot talk or chew > without going into tears. Its a deep throbbing, jabbing pain that is > just excruciating.Since I don't have insurance, and didn't really feel > like being on anti-biotics,making my IBS problems worse.I decided to > do a natural treatment method. > I started this treatment 24 hours ago on the advice of a naturopath > > I am washing my ear out 3 times a day with hydrogen peroxide, > then I rotate filling it 3 times a day with colloidal silver, > citracide, grapefruit seed extract, and tea tree oil. > > The pain is so horrible and intense,I was up all night just in > tears,I tried homeopathic ear pain drops but no relief,I just could > not stand it any more and started taking tylenol, that really took > the edge off,but we all know tylenol and acetaminophen drug can cause > liver damage.ANY IDEAS OF HOW I CAN PROTECT AND REBUILD MY LIVER > AFTER THIS?It also has corn starch, titanium oxide etc in it,all toxic > but what can I do???I am afraid Asprin will burn my stomach? > > Does anyone have any ideas for me?????? > > Thanks, > > Tara
Guest guest
Tara: If you are in that much pain I think it would be best if you went to the doctor. It sounds like it is too far out of control. Another thing that you can do that I used to do to my girls when they had ear infections is to massage along the front and back of the ear and down into the throat area. This helps to open up the passage for the liquid build up in your ear down into your throat. My chiropractor told me about that. I hope that this helps. I have a very good friend who went to bed with an ear ache and woke up with one side of his face not working. Apparently, there is a nerve that runs through each ear that controls the opposite side of the face (left ear right side-right ear left side). He still suffers some facial damage (corner of eye and corner of mouth pulls down) from the infection. I'm sure he wishes he'd gone to the doctor right away and gotten antibiotics. I also recommend you go to the doctor. I'm sure there is a designated hospital in your town that will treat you free of charge. You can always restore your intestinal tract. I had serious ear damage myself and unlike my brother I do not get ear pain, just jaw pain and so I often missed that an ear was affected. I had badly scarred eardrums and near total deafness one side. However - Antibiotics only kill bacteria, they do not heal the damaged ear, nor do they prevent a repeat infection. So in my case I have since used homeopathy to restore my eardrum and my hearing, and in future I'd use it for the infection so as to reverse the damage sooner. Both homeopathy and Vit E are handy to prevent scarring. > Just take care, and don't mess with putting > off treatment for " any " infection in the head area. I agree with this too. However best treatment is not necessarily antibiotics depending how fast one can get the right approach - as antibiotics do not treat the ear nor prevent recurrence - only kill bacteria that happen to be there. the real issue is why there was an ear infection in the first place instead of *resistance* to it. So if you get the *right* alternative treatment, it will work quickly and effectively and restore the ear damage and proper resistance. It's for these reasons homeopathy is a more powerful system here - provided the remedy is properly matched. If you can't get that right away then antibiotics can be used to knock down the numbers till the right ear repair remedy can be matched to fix the damage. > I > believe in holistic health care too, but I have > watched patients in ICU when infections have been > neglected. Holistic care is not neglect. Neglect is no care! Holistic care is very different from neglect - it not only ends the infection but restores health where there was damage and restores resistance where there was none. It's far superior to drugs if used well. But if there is no good holistic care to hand quickly, then it would be neglect not to use the conventional alternative, as that has the big advantage of being readily available in reasonable effective quality. > I had to watch a young 35 year old die > from brain fever from a tooth infection. I don't want > to scare any of you, but please don't put off treating > those head area infections. Another option is to combine conventional and homeopathic care, or know when to turnthe patient over to the other system if the current one is not working. Antibiotics are not great at crossing the blood brain barrier but homeopathy has no problems there. A brain fever is neglected if it is not treated by homeopathy when conventional approach results in death - just the converse of an ear infection being neglected if it has no antibiotics in absence of homeopathy being available. It's time we see both sides of the coin. Brain infections respond readily to homeopathy. It's important to not ignore that life-saving option. It seems a bit prejudiced to call it neglect in one direction only. But the conventional world is very blinkered!!! I sure hope they wake up one day soon :-)) Meantime I am sorry you had to watch someone die of something that has a known treatment. I felt that way watching my own father die. I knew a homeopathic remedy to help him but he did not want " that snake oil stuff " and I was powerless to help. An awful feeling. Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc; AASCA; MCSSA; D.I.Hom.
