Wonder if anyone can help with my mothers painful hip?

Not sure if i am allowed to ask this but i have no idea where to ask

for help. My mother has started limping and complaining her hip is

hurting, she told me she cried yesterday with the pain. does anyone

know what it could be and what i should do. She saw her gp who said it

was probably arthritis and offered nothing.
