  • 1 year later...

So, I was trying to make a useable comparison between A and O diet.

Using my copy of LR4YT, (with the error corrections listed on Dr. D's

website) I tried to convert them into a daily food pyramid like the

USDA puts out. While my pyramids were obviously very different from

the USDA, they were almost identical to each other once all the

numbers were rounded off. The major difference is in protien

sources. So here's what I came up with for daily guidelines for both

A and O:

sweets

(sparingly)

Grains Good Oils

(1) (1)

Protiens: meat, fish, eggs,

nuts, beans, cheese, yogurt(4-5)

Vegetables (5+) Fruits (3)

Which led me to a long overdue analysis of my A children's diets, and

they seem to have Grains and Vegetables inverted. Anyone have any

thoughts on my pyramid and/or on how to get a picky 6 year old to eat

more veggies and less grain? I don't mind resorting to stealth.

My pyramid formatting doesn't seem to have turned out very well. The

second layer of the pyramid has 1 serving of Grain and 1 serving of

Good Oil (olive, flax, walnut). I think everything else makes sense

even without the formatting.
