I never had to pay customs charges on anything I ordered from IP until the last

two orders, because of the new rules.

This time I ordered four bottles of 2grain Armour and I got the parcel this

morning without being charged anything extra :0)

If anyone's interested my order was posted on a Monday (I don't order online)

and my stuff was dispatched on the Friday. It took fifteen days after dispatch

to get here.

Louise.

Hi Louise

Can I ask a few questions?

You said you post your order, forgive me for me being a bit dense, you

mean you send your order through the post? How do you pay? Do you send

a cheque?

I've thought of trying to order by phone, would have to consider the

time difference though of course! I wasn't sure if you could only

purchase online.

The second thing was did they declare the value on the package?

It always used to say N.C.V. (no commercial value) but my last one

had the amount..it was over £18 and I got hit with a £12 customs charge.

Of course your package might just have slipped through the net.

Good for you! Hope it stays that way.

I get a form for a foreign draft from the bank and fill that in, take it back

to the bank, it takes a few days to process, then they send me the foreign draft

in the post. The foreign draft can then be sent, like a cheque, with the order

form that I download from IP. I get all the info on the stuff I want to order

from the IP website just before I fill in the form in case of price changes ;0)

The only problem with using a foreign draft is if it gets lost in the post:

there's no guarantee you'll get a refund. This happened to the second order I

sent; but luckily the bank were able to find out if the draft had been cashed,

it hadn't so they were able to reissue it, so I didn't lose my money.

I don't think you can just send a cheque as it has to be in the correct

currency for the country you send it to; and I don't think you're allowed to

just write it in the correct currency on a normal cheque.

Today's parcel had the value on the outside so I think it was just chance that

it wasn't stopped.

Hope this helps,

Louise.
