It sounds like you are getting on the right track. Keep improving on your

diet and you will see your health improve.

I have helped many people with FM. The following 3 things made a hugh

improvement on almost everyone.

1. Diet. Get your O diet going good. That should improve your sugar problem

and get you off those meds. And give you the nutrition you need to strengthen

your system.

2. Digestion. From your poor diet and the meds your digestive tract is

probably in need of some help. For a gentle assist to re-flourish your

intestines, you could use some Nutrition Now Yeast Defense and a good quality

acidophilus.

3. Magnesium. As much as you can take until you get loose bowels. That

could be anywhere from 400 mg to 1600 mg. Especially take a dose at bedtime to

help your sleep.

Plenty of water and Vit C generally helps with the detox. Grapeseed extract

would also be good for more antioxidant benefit.

Incorporating Perricone's anti-inflammatory diet into the O diet would also be

good.

The better you do, the quicker the results. You do all this and in 1 - 2

months you will be a new person.

My question is -- A couple of years ago I was

diagnosed with fibromyalgia -- painful forearms that I

was just sure was bone cancer it hurt so badly. I

have taken loads of different medications for this

without much relief. It seems that whenever I'm

stressed or about to get sick or have asthma problems

-- it is the worst. Also I think that the weather

plays into it too. More recently I am feeling more

achy and stiffer when I get up from either lying down

or just sitting for a long time. Life after sitting

eating dinner out in a restaurant it is hard to

initially get up and get moving again. Can be quite

painful too. Could this be deteriorating of my

muscles from not enough protein, or too high of blood

sugar or anything diet related or maybe even

medication related from over the years?

I take accupril for blood pressure, I use an albuterol

inhaler prn, Advair inhaler, and take glucovance

morning and evening with meals. I have been known to

" abuse " my albuterol inhaler using it much more

frequently than every 4 hours, but that was long ago

before I would say my asthma was undercontrol. I'm

only 51 but sometimes feel 151! When I lay in bed at

night I hurt so bad all over and wonder if I will ever

get up and get going again, but once I am up and get

the circulation going, the pain lessens (never goes

away) but becomes tolerable. I then take arthritis

tylenol to get going or if it is still really painful

I take a darvocette. Pretty soon after I take it I

can feel a warming sensation through my muscles and

the pain seems to be gone till it wears off.

I'd appreciate your take on this and would welcome any

advice you would like to give me on this.

Like I said before == whenever you can. Please take

care of whatever in on your plate before your surgery

and I will be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy

recovery from this round of surgery!
