Guest guest
I found that if I made myself start the day off right, with protein and no carbs (I needed to have no carbs back when I started), the entire day went better. (Now I have a slice of Ezekiel bread with almond butter and my protein food.) So, I stocked up on breakfast foods that were appropriate for me and let that be my first new good habit. I also still drink black tea, and I let that be my " bad girl " food (even though it doesn't seem to affect me badly... can't figure out what it is if it does). I found that if my breakfast was in compliance, it would be easier for me to choose a good lunch, so I worked on that next. Same with dinner, but over months, not days or weeks. But I find that the foods that I found to be particularly difficult to " give up " were the ones that I now have no desire to eat (wheat, dairy, corn). I still eat chocolate, though, in moderation and after a good protein meal. We need to eat to live, not live to eat. Baby steps work best. Hope this helps, Marci
