Hi Marie. Thank you for the kind words. and Yes! I am ready for a

new doc. This one is stupid, sorry to say. Fortunately, the gastro doc

called her and wanted to know why my bloodwork was so old. HAHAHAHA!

They made me come in the next day to have my blood drawn. I couldn't

have smiled bigger when the nurse told me. I won't see the specialist

till Nov 22., but I know he made her feel stupid! I am switching

doctors. This is crazy, she doesn't seem to know much about medicine at

all. Especially hep. I talked to the office manager of the clinic and

she is getting me in to see a new doc that is a little farther away,

but she specialized in puclic health, so they think she may understand

a bit more about my condition. Thank goodness. Her office won't open

for another week or two, so I just gotta be paitent. I can't wait to

get the results of the lab work though. This doc office won't give me

copies of my records without an outrageous fee. So I want to be sure

that I have all my labs back before I get them. When I ask her for

results, it's an argument to get her to give them to me. I'm soooo

ready for the new doc. Thanks for the support.

Hello Stacey, You are most welcome, I have been in your exact shoes and I know just how helpless and frustrated one can get. It really saddens me the way our medical society is lacking these days, and it seems to be continually worse. It seems none of them remember the oath they once took, and they loose sight of their empathy and compassion - they also forget that without their patients they would be out of a job, however, they still get away with treating us poorly. I have found that hospital care is even worse, the nurses are usually understaffed and underpaid leaving us, the patients to suffer. The whole thing just frustrates me. And I am one of those people that is pretty outspoken and will stick up for myself whenever need be, I will always as questions, even if it angers them, and if I have to I remind them that they are working for us, the patients and we are paying them - therefore that does give us rights. As far as them giving you results or records, unfortunately they have the right, 'to take their time" and put a fee on them - sometimes I think that they make it expensive just so we won't be able to afford them or will have to wait. But always remember that you as a patient have the right under any circumstance to have access to your records, rather they like it or not.

I am so glad Stacey that you are getting out of that Doctors office, not all doctors as as bad as you have experienced, every once and awhile we come across one that still remembers why he got into medicine in the first place and truly cares about his patients. I will be praying for you Girl - keep me informed ok.

May God continue to bless you and yours

Love, hugs, and prayers

Marie

Does anyone know of a doctor either in NJ or who works by phone who works

progressively with thyroid and also does BHRT? I don't have insurance so I'm

trying to find one doc to prescribe all meds. Thanks.
