Guest guest
Dear Donna, As you are aware, the formula for building bone is calcium + magnesium + boron + zinc + silica. Apples are a good source of boron. Best of Health! Dr. Saul Pressman Boron for health= bones, hormones, insomnia and more. > Below are some good links on Boron. Guest guest
Many ladies are also getting fabulous results with bone mineralization by taking strontium .... vitamin C is needed to crosslink collagen fibers the new bone is laid down on, and vitamin D keeps the calcium in solution I believe so it can be put in the right place. Guest guest
Hi Saul, Yes. Too many people are doing calcium alone, or calcium and magnesium. The coral that I take has boron and zinc and silica in it, but the levels do not seem adequate to me. I noticed an increase in mineral uptake when I added Tri Boron by Twin Labs. I looked for foods high in boron and found that cabbage is the highest. Unfortunately, cabbage lowers thyroid function. So I opted for the pill form. I have noticed benefit to my hormone balance by supplementing boron. I have eaten apples, pretty much daily all my adult life, but still noticed benefit from boron pills. I prefer foods when it works, like brazil nuts for selenium, but sometimes foods just don't seem adequate. I think our soils world wide have varying deficiencies and unless you are eating organic foods that are also nutrient dense you can have deficiencies. 75% of Americans are dangerous deficient in Magnesium, for instance. I look forward to the day when local organic growers get the need for also focusing on nutrient density. Right now, only a handful do. Until more do, I think I am stuck with pills for some things. Guest guest
I think this problem will continue to worsen at an alarming rate. jp I think our soils world wide > have varying deficiencies and unless you are eating organic foods that > are also nutrient dense you can have deficiencies. 75% of Americans are > dangerous deficient in Magnesium, for instance. Guest guest
By the way, the percentages came out all wrong, it's really 99.5% boron and 0.5% trace minerals. The amount for women is 1/8 of a teaspoon dissolved in one liter of water to drink throughout the day, 5 days on/2 days off, for more details read the Curezone page I posted earlier.I did less than the 1/8 tsp. the first week because I wanted to be cautious. I read that borax is slowly eliminated by the kidneys so it could build up in people with less than normal kidney function (and I don't know the real state of mine...) and that could be bad.; I later increased it to even a bit more than the 1/8 tsp. I stopped it about 2 weeks ago- along with other new things I had started - because I was having some bad days (feeling pretty run down) and I couldn't tell if that had to do with any of the things I was taking.Raquel> >> > Boron is more effective for fluoride detox. Guest guest
Boron also helps the body absorb the calcium and magnesium you take for bone health. It has been in calcium/magnesium supplements for years. It's in the cal/mag supplement my daughter takes and in the multi-mineral I take. You can also get it as a separate supplement.
