It is Nature Throid and you can get this from www.internationalpharmacy.com It is hypoallergenic, so this might be something that just might work for you Tilly.

Can you get your last thyroid function tests Tilly and post them here. Has anybody ever considered you might be suffering with thyroid hormone resistance (THR)? THR describes a rare syndrome where the thyroid hormone levels are raised, but the TSH level is not suppressed, or not completely suppressed as would be expected.

Sometimes the phrase THR is used to identify cases where patients with autoimmune thyroid disorders respond poorly to normal doses of replacement thyroid hormone, this is thought to occur where patients have developed antibodies to thyroid hormones. Antibodies to thyroid hormones quite commonly occur in such disorders, and may interfere with the normal clinical assays used in monitoring such disorders, and in unusual cases may have further independent clinical significance.

Hi Starting almost five years ago my symptoms were arthralgia, myalgia and aching. I was a voice in the wilderness and then saw Dr Peatfield, did the whole gamut of supplements and Hydrocortisone but just got worse (including Armour). Now things have worsened even more and I have tried three different capsules from dales but react in the same way. Believe now that it is not the fillers but that my immune system sees thyroxine as alien.I have to take 25mcg at six hourly intervals, any more and the reaction is too severe and I feel really ill. I have just started on 5mgms Prednisolone daily and I have been gardening for the first time for three years so I am hopeful about this. The GP is scaring me about the effects of taking Prednisolone long term, but life is not too good without it so what have I got to lose. What is the other natural thyroxine replacement?

Sheila - thanks for your reply. dales capsules are

hypoallergenic too but I still reacted to them. I need to know more

about Nature Throid - How is it hypoallergenic, what is in it, etc?

I have been on Dr Lowe's site and I think I do not belong there.

The best part of my case is that I respond very well to Levothyroxine

and my hypothyroidism is well controlled. If I want a special day I

omit thyro for that day and I am wonderful.

Hi - I have looked into nature-thyroid and it is hypoallergenic because

it has different fillers and binders to Armour, otherwise it is like

taking Armour. A dead end for me again, I can't take Armour anyway.
