Hi ALl,

Well it is now a month of challenge - how is everyone doing?

I have a positive to report!

I lost an inch of waist this month. I am SO pleased with that.

For me waist measurement is the critical item as I have all central fat.

My weight has been up and down a bit, but overall I seem to be 1 pound lower

today than when I started. I do not really care as much about weight.

It went down 5 lbs at one point but then back up, and that is all is a lot to do

with edema.

I have metapneumonic pleurisy which is not useful on the edema issue.

But waist improvement - YEAH I'll take that:-)

Namaste,

Irene

You did better than me, Irene. I lost about 5 lbs then gained back 3. I

lost about 1/2 inch in the waist. I feel good though. And I sleep much

better. I think over time the weight will come off. After all, it took

time to get there!!!

As a 74 yo follower of BLOOD TYPE diet; I can only say that I havehadto

eliminate all fruits; for sweets I eat mainly manna bread. I look better

than when in 50's. My weight for 5ft7 is around 140 (actually haven't been

on scale for years). dress/lpants size is 8-10. That is not to say I don't

have problelms, but diet seems to keep IBS and eye problems under control.

I do " senior " yoga; play tennis and golf. So far, I am grateful. thanks,

I haven't measured my waist - I'm not actively exercising - so I don't

expect a change.

However I have managed to lose a total of five pounds. It seems to me that

it is the

same 5 pounds I lose every fall (because I try to).

I know we said we would do this for three weeks, but I, for one, plan to

continue.

I think that is great!!!

2 lbs in a month is very longterm weight loss. The fast stuff is sledom stay

away stuff:-)

Seems liek bouncing about is par for the course. I had lost 6 and regained 5.

Net loss 1 pound only.

Weird to lose an entire waist inch wit onlu 1 lb lost.

So it just proves there is more to this - there's edema and all kinds of

factors.

We need to just keep at it:-)
