Guest guest
you need to look at Dr Rinds site where it tells you all about temps and adreanls, are you plotting them on a graph? That way you can see exactly how you are doing From: sm_telo <sm_telo@...>Subject: Hi All - Sheilathyroid treatment Date: Friday, 26 September, 2008, 3:54 PM Lately i have been monitoring my adrenals..as i now have a mercurythermometer. .i place the thermometer under my arm for 10 minutes...thelast 5 days my bmt has been 37...and afternoon temperatureconsistently 37 and evening temp 37. All i have been taking for thelast few weeks is Omega 3 MorEPA. Could this be helping with myadrenals and increasing my temperature. With temperatures like these, would this indicate that my thyroid andadrenals are doing ok?Many thanks,Simone

Omega3 Morepa is very concentrated, i do find my body feels warmer when i take it..so i think it is helping the adrenals. Guest guest
Hi Simone Your TSH would be better if it was down to 1.0 and your Free T3 could be a little higher - though I am having to guess because we cannot really tell anything from the blood test results without the reference range for each of the tests. Neither can we really go by blood test results alone. How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms of low thyroid and are you showing any of the signs. Look at our website www.tpa-uk.org.uk and check out Symptoms and Signs under 'Hypothyroidism' in the Menu. Luv - Sheila I did some blood tests about 3 weeks ago. Just wondered what the group thinks of them. I am on no thyroid medication. tsh 2.5 FT4 17.7 T3 4.6 In january my results were: tsh 2.7 FT4 16.9 antibodies positive. range 0-9 mine 34 Be grateful to hear your thoughts, Many thanks,
Guest guest
Hi Simone, We are all different- some eat more fibre than others, so many things can affect the way you are and not everybody has all the same hypo symptoms, but are able to tick a large selection from the very long list. Subject: Hi All - Sheila Hello all. Question to the group. I wondered is it possible to be slightly hypo (no medication) even if you have a bowel movement every morning before breakfast..I would think this would indicate a metabolism working well?? Curious. Guest guest
HI Simone We are all individuals - I cannot answer questions regarding your sister's temperature nor can I answer regarding your friend - I don't know their particular circumstances and as their thyroid function appears to be good, such a question is really irrelevant. Here we are dealing with members who we believe could have a thyroid problem and trying to find the cause - and for those members who have not been given a diagnosis because their TFT's are within the normal reference range, these are the patient's who's temperatures we are concerned with. Low BMT (once hypothyroidism has been ruled out) can be an indicator of other things such Pituitary insufficiency - Gonadal insufficiency - Adrenal insufficiency - Hypoglycaemia - Cirrhosis - Pancreatitis - Recreational drug or alcohol abuse - Central Nervous System abnormalities - Metabolic toxicity - not forgetting, of course hypothermia. Sheila Thanks for the response. I am curious though, my sisters temperature in the morning 2/3 days after her period is 36.2 and her thyroid function is good, tsh 1.3. A friend of mine too has bmt 36.3 few days after menstruation and her thyroid is good. Do you the the temperature guage is accurate. Another friend of mine at bmt of 35.9 sometimes and again she has no thyroid problem. Her bloods are well within range. Could low bmt maybe also be an indicator of stress and other things and maybe not only thyroid. Curious?? Many thanks,
Guest guest
> > > > ***Hi , Thanks for the response..yes i have had antibodies test done last year and result was slightly elevated 34 (range 0-9). Consultant at the time said yes there was a problem but did not warrant treatment as level were only slightly elevated. I have to say in november i took evening primrose oil for a month and stopped as all of a sudden i started having heavy face flushing, never had this before..my tsh before november was 2.2 Ft4 17 i think. now this blood test is a month and half after evening primrose oil intake..i have since discovered epo is a goitrogen...and honestly feel it was this that made my tsh go up...it has never been 3.8 since i first had my problem in 2003..always in the 2 or 1 range. I don't know if this means my body just needs more time to recover from the evening primorose oil incident or if now i am officially hypo. All very strange! Guest guest
Just found this info on Imogen lloyd webbers site on how she cured her thyroid problem> Just been on GMTV today talking about my thyroid problem. It's a really common ailment - it was eye opening to see the number of online comments of women troubled by it after a piece I did for the Daily Mail came out last week. So, how did I manage to stop taking the synthetic substance of thyroxine that my body didn't like at all? An alternative heaith guru pointed me towards: - Dr Schulze's Superfood. Great big green tubs of unprocessed herbs (unlike the pills you get from Boots). This has lots of iodine in it, essential for thyroid function. - Biocare's TH207 supplement - 3 pounds of fresh raw vegetables a day (which I rapidly changed to a double shot of wheatgrass - same effect, less hassle) - Exercise. My favourite is properly executed power plating which has completely changed my body. DON'T TRY UNSUPERVISED IN THE GYM. I'm a Core London fan... anyone have any thoughts on the amount of iodine intake, i thought hypos were not meant to take iodine?
