What % solution is it? 5% solution is 6.25 mgs / drop. When I had active thyroid cancer I took 50 mgs but I had had 3 RAI's and a thyroidectomy. If you stil have a thyroid and have not done treatment then I would consider more. If I had it to do again I would take 100 mgs and all the supporting nutrients and detox, detox, detox. Also I removed my mercury amalgam fillings and chelated. This helped my markers go down further. Cancer is a nutrient deficiency and toxicity issue.

That's a little less than 3 mg per drop then. If I were in your shoes I wouldn't mess with liquid. I'd go for the Iodoral. You'll get a bigger dose easier. I take two 50 mgs / day.

I'm treating it as 3 mg per drop of 2%.

Here's the quote from J Crow:

LUGOL'S 5%:

Each VERTICAL drop is about 6.25 mg of iodine. (The correct way to make a drop

is to hold the dropper vertical and squeeze the rubber topper)

HORIZONTAL drops - when the dropper is held side to side there is twice as much

iodine per drop. Approximately 12.5 mg

LUGOL'S 2%: Approximately 1/2 half the above measurements

I know nothing about iodine usage. But it does seem to me that taking a half or

even a third of your intended dose would make a lot of sense. Let your body get

accustomed to it, go up by phases. Jake

Is it thought to be the same therapeutic effect? (Lugol's & Iodoral)

Isn't the Iodoral a lot more expensive?
