Guest guest
Hi Bob, can you translate this for me as it is a bit to tec for me. thanks.A predominating TH1-type response is associated with a tendency to spontaneous abortion. secondly, progesterone induces the production of progesterone-induced blocking factor (PIBF)in lymphocytes. PIBF suppresses the proliferation of lymphocytes, the activation of NK cells(natural killer cells), and the production of TNF,in women with multiple miscarriages, only a very small number of lymphocytes secrete PIBF. moreover, progesterone and PIBF promote TH2-type immune responses.I am taking this to mean that the hormone progesterone plays a part in the changing of the response from igG2 cytotoxic to igG1 non cytotoxic response. or this could be the other way round. igG1 to IgG2 !this is taken from an article called maternofetal tolerance in reproduction immunology.thanks Angel.
