Hi Jane

Many people (not all) have had a return of hypo symptoms on the new reformulated

armour. If you are taking the new chalky one, perhaps you may want to consider

changing brand.

A FreeT3 and FreeT4 blood test will confirm if this is the case.

Currently I am taking 75 mcg T3, 2 gr Armour, serenity cream, Vit B12 1000

mgs, Selenium 200 mgs, vit C 1000 and magnesium 100 mgs. I take all my thyroid

meds together at night before bed. I have been doing quite well on this lot

for a few months despite loads of stress. Now the stress has alleviated abit

and I am finding I need a nap again in the afternoons. Any ideas what I can do

next ?

Are you sure you are absorbing the B12? Have you measured iron/ferritin?

Try going back to daily dosing Jane. Take half your thyroid supplements

an hour before eating and drinking when you wake up and around 2/3.00p.m. and

see if that helps. sure you have no iron or calcium in any of your supplements

that you take, take those about 3 to 4 hours away from your thyroid meds.

Let us know if this helps.

Lately I am finding that I am getting fatigued again in the afternoon.

Currently I am taking 75 mcg T3, 2 gr Armour, serenity cream, Vit B12 1000 mgs,

Selenium 200 mgs, vit C 1000 and magnesium 100 mgs. I take all my thyroid meds

or take a little citric acid or sugar under the tongue with the

new Armour - or you might even find you need an increase in your dose.

Morning everyone, thanks for your replies; Chuck - Good point, I havn't had

any blood work for quite awhile, I shall beard the GP in his den and get some

tests ordered. , My mistake, It is Thyroid S I am taking, I swapped to

this a couple of months ago because of all the hassles with Armour and until now

hadn't noticed any difference.

Hi nick,

I do better taking my 70mcg T3 all at once with my Armour in the

mornings- less sleepiness in the afternoons. We are all different.

That's a lot of T3 to take in one hit, can you spread it out or even

add a bit more at lunchtime to tide you through the afternoon??

Hi Nick & ;

I know that it is a lot to take all in one go but I have been doing it for a

few months now and it really did suit me. On a psychological level I also feel

" less ill " when I am not taking tablets every couple of hours. I like

your way of taking all the meds in the morning and will probably give that a go.

Sheila has suggested splitting the dose again throughout the day and I will try

that next. I do find this discouraging as I have been doing so well on my

night time regime. Hey Ho , I guess these things are sent to try us !!

Regards

Jane

I'd stick with what's basically working for you but take 25 (or 20) of

T3 at lunchtime, either as well or in place of part of the night time

dose.
