Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I expect it is swollen with the mucin that causes myxodema which would also explain headaches. > thyroid treatment > From: stfluffybrain@...> Date: Sun, 28 Jun 2009 01:56:20 +0000> Subject: your brain changes size with treatment, awesome > > http://www.ajnr.org/cgi/content/full/23/9/1539> > Incidentally your brain is bigger the higher your TSH, smaller the rise in T4 and T3 levels. > > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
This article might also have some relevence to the topic of taurine which has recently been discussed on this board. Quote from article: " In humans, taurine concentrations in blood platelets are reduced in hyperthyroidism and increased in hypothyroidism. After treatment, the changes reverse " So what are the implications when a hypothyroid human ingests taurine? Guest guest
Hi I am right with u there and that quote was intiguing. If I hadn't already been taking tauring I might have considered it from this quote in the paper. Luckily some of us are now taking it and I am hoping it is helping. I think I am sleeping better, but I also put my thyroid hormones up lately so is difficult to discern which is giving me the benefit. I THINK I am less swollen but cannot be sure of this comment long term as yet. Wonder if my brain has got smaller hehe./ I assume as my TSH went down my brain did get smaller cos I no longer felt like someone had used my head as a football all night when I woke up in the morning after starting armour with the direct T3 in it. It had started to feel a little bad on a morning again so I put up my naturethroid but I also started the taurine. No football head, good, back to feeling fresher on a morning again. Fingers crossed. lotsa luv Dawnx
