Guest guest
Re: iodine deficiency according to Dr P dear Chuck and all I really have to get to the bottom of this iodine problem. You say that the iodine in kelp tablets contain inherently(?) bromine? And that this bromine can cause problems. you also say that kelp contains heavy metals which are even worse. So what source of iodine would you go for if you had to choose to take iodine? You talk about potassium iodide and there are some sites mentioned . Please don't be a sceptic and tell me where i could buy the best iodine without all these problems at a reasonable price? I'd kinda like to avoid the risk of hashi's if possible and all the consequences deriving from heavy metals consumption. It needs to be in Europe as I can't import from USA. You seem to like this Lugol's one. Do suggest a concentration that would be ok..... I am using at the moment Solgar and these are the ingredients:( Each tablet provides: lodine (from 84mg of dehydrated North Atlantic kelp)225ug (250mcg on my bottle) Tableted with these natural ingredients: dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, vegetable gum.)These ingredients don't talk about bromide or heavy metals. do you think they are present anyway? I do get very confused ;my knowledge of thyroid problems is very low. thanks in advance berny > Optimox does sell both liquid and solid versions.
