Guest guest
THINK ON THESE THINGS By Joyce Sequichie Hifler Our mother used to take all the neighborhood young people on a moonlight hike across the prairies. We always found a haystack that gave reason to shove and push and throw hay at each other. Then we would stretch out and our mother would tell us about the stars, pointing out different ones -- and the moon. We were all quiet, listening to her words until she told us about the different phases of the moon. Some asked when the moon would be full and she said, " The moon is always full. " We all contradicted her but she said, " We see the moon in all its phases but it is always the same. " She told us there is a lunar moon and a solar moon according to time, and that the moon is the only satellite that orbits our world. The ultimate lesson was things are happening even if we cannot see it. She said that we were disbelieving because wanted to see and touch everything -- but it takes faith to know what is going on whether we can see it or not. Guest guest
THINK ON THESE THINGSBy Joyce Sequichie HiflerSometimes people are impressed more with status than they are content. The louder status is shouted the more glowing and receptive these people are. It is sad because so often status has no real substance, no teaching, but looks alone.Put down the need to be impressed. Feel instead the kinship of standing with someone who knows our situation. If they feel our need for them they will stay close. This is the only inside circle that will not be broken. One's own opinion is a privilege, but Lord, let us not sink out of sight in what we believe or profess to believe. If it is real and for the good, the true good, then we can relax and let life go on in its orderly way.

Guest guest
Yes sorry, my eyes were closing, like you I'm awake through the night and get little cat naps. This medication I'm on also makes me very tired but doesn't help me to sleep for very long. I've got to start using the meds that the doctor gave me to sleep, but even they don't work like they should. I took a Xanex the other night to sleep, which is what they gave me since sleeping pills work the opposite on me. A whole Xanex used to work where I would sleep the entire next day, but now they barely work and I maybe have taken 1 every couple of weeks, so I don't get it. Off my band wagon, ok details... I'm going to send you a copy of an email that I had written to Cyn as a response to her email regarding the transition emails from Pam and Sue, then yours coming in. So please remind me if you don't get it so I can send it to you. I don't know what's going on with , but out of no where it appeared in my inbox so I don't know how it got there, but it reminded me to send to you, if I didn't already...Can you tell me if you've already gotten it. Until the next time Hugs From: Carlene <carlene.grimshaw@...>Subject: Re: THINK ON THESE THINGS Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 4:21 PM I agree, , as Joyce Sequichie Hifler is a beautiful writer. Guest guest
Hi - Have you thought of seeing a sleep specialist. They may be able to help you sort out the underlying problem of why you are not able to sleep naturally...or even with the sleep medications. My own sleeping patterns have improved a great deal in recent times. I have had to truly experiment with natural ways to get balanced sleep. As you know the other night I had zero sleep due to various things. Then thankfully 9hrs straight sleep the next night. Last night I got 5hrs but that was due to sinus blockage problems. I still have to invest in a Neti pot I think Cyn called it to help clear the nasal passages. So normally I average around 7hrs sleep a night. That's a great improvement on the 3 - 4hrs sleep (then the 4 - 5hrs sleep) I used to average. More hours of sleep does make you feel better or increase energey. It takes time but there are ways to encourage a better sleeping pattern. So there is hope! BTW I haven't received the email you are talking about. Take care. hugs Carlene > > > > > > From: Carlene carlene.grimshaw@ ... > > Subject: THINK ON THESE THINGS > > > > Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 2:10 PM > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > THINK ON THESE THINGS > > By Joyce Sequichie Hifler > > > > Sometimes people are impressed more with status than they are content. > The louder status is shouted the more glowing and receptive these people > are. Guest guest
No, I haven't been to a sleep specialist, I've always had insomnia from as far back as I remember. I've thought about going, but I would be awake all night while the test is going on. I also have MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) which can get in the way of my sleeping openly. I have tried so many other things though and will try them out. Thanks for asking, hugs From: Carlene <carlene.grimshaw@...>Subject: Re: THINK ON THESE THINGS Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 7:40 PM Hi - Have you thought of seeing a sleep specialist. Guest guest
Fl - I didn't know you have Mitral Valve Prolapse. This could explain the headaches you get, and fatigue etc. I do agree with you that insomnia can start way back in childhood and continue. For your sake I hope the things you are going to try out help you. It took me many years to recover a fairly normal sleeping pattern. The reduction (or elimination) of noise, stress, and anxiety goes a long way to sleep improvement. Take care. hugs Carlene > > > From: Carlene carlene.grimshaw@... > Subject: Re: THINK ON THESE THINGS > > Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 7:40 PM > > > Â > > > > > Hi - Have you thought of seeing a sleep specialist. Guest guest
That's very young to be diagnosed, . I'm also a great believer in self-talk therapy. Guest guest
Yes it was young, however it is typical to be born with MVP and a murmur usually accompanies MVP, which of course, I have. I have to pre-medicate before going to the dentist and any time I've had surgery they have to pump anti-biotics into the IV. I truly believe in affirmations, especially when I was still dealing with the attacks, they really did work. , trust me when I say you can and will get over these attacks, email me privately and we'll go over it. Guest guest
You have much to deal with and it can't be easy at times. You must have a strong constitution. Like you, I'm also a big believer in affirmations. Said frequently with emotion and deep belief it is possible to heal negative conditions. Affirmations work when we put the work into them. An affirmation is mind-power in action. Thanks for these positive words of encouragement. hugs Carlene > > > > > > > > > From: Carlene carlene.grimshaw@ ... > > > Subject: Re: THINK ON THESE THINGS > > > > > > Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 7:40 PM > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi - Have you thought of seeing a sleep specialist. Guest guest
Hey, , that's a beautiful kind of affirmation that makes you think that you're gorgeous. I might have to try that one. lol I hate it when you can't remember the title of a book. There's a book I would like to get again but the title's slipped my memory. What if you go to Amazon under books and key in affirmations. Maybe if you scrolled through the various titles you might recall the book. Maybe itwould work - maybe not. Hope you work out the email problem. Can be frustrating when that happens. hugs Carlene > > Yes, I'm a firm believer in affirmations, as I said. How do you think I've grown to just think I'm gorgeous...affirmations my love, okay, the jokes on me, ha ha ha >  > But really, I do believe...I had a book with affirmations in it that all one did was change the wording to fit whatever it was. Truly worked for me, but I loaned it to a friend and never got it back. It was a great book and I don't even remember the name of it any more. >  > I'm still trying to get you Carlene, but it won't work when I click on the tlick to email you personally. When I click it all it does is keep thinking but nothing happens. I'll keep trying. Hugs
