Guest guest
Hi everybody, I would like to offer a few thoughts that have crossed my mind, and see what other people would think of my take on where we should go next. whilst we all are shocked by the news that the armour is no longer even a remote possibility on prescription now, we should be thinking about what we must do about it. Firstly I would like to say that if it is at all possible to buy our own armour then we must do that, as people becoming more ill than necessary is counterproductive and playing into the hands of our tormenters. If 'they' would be moved by the pitiful sight of people made ill by their actions then there are many examples out there - and it hasn't made any difference as yet. It is important that we have lives worth living as that was the whole point of the campaign in the first place. I wonder if we should divide the mission up into two parts, instead of trying to do it all at once. In my mind the case of undertreatment and denial of treatment should be easier to tackle because of the other european countries who treat their patients at a much earlier stage in their illness. It should be a much simpler task to say that the british patients are at a disadvantage within the european union. A lot of patients should benefit if the ruling on this was changed. I wonder if anyone has the details of what treatment people will be offered in the various countries, so we can complain about it. Maybe if we had the details we could all go to see our MP etc. The case of armour will be a more difficult case in my opinion as there is not any use of it within europe as far as I know. If we could divide off this part of the mission from the other and treat them as separate issues we may make a difference a bit sooner. I know it will not be nice for those of us who take armour but if even part of the problem can be solved it will be helpful to great numbers of people, and we could run both issues in tandem but not mix them up into the same protests. If armour is going to be more expensive now we have to pay tax and the post office, is there any alternative stuff that would make a 'second best ' solution that is cheaper ? My mind has been running along the lines of contraband pork sausages !!! But seriously if anyone knows of another cheaper treatment could they let us all know about it. My husband has been thinking along the lines of the chinese doctors (no wonder there is one in every town). Has anyone tried this and what was the outcome? Do they have a herbal alternative to armour I wonder. The service I most value from TPA is that I have had support and guidance to get my health back, and I am making good progress. This is the unique part of our group as I don't think there is anyone else out there who will help individuals to this level. For the few of us that have found their way to the forum it has made all the difference. love Janet
