What is bromide and do I need to test my son for it?

I'm seeing things about bromide, and I've searched here and on the web to find

out what it is and if I need to test my 10yo in the beginning for this. I can't

seem to understand what it really is. Could someone help me pleeeeeeeease? :-)

Whether you test for it or not is up to you. I wanted to know why my son still had ADD symptoms when we had him on iodine, thyroid medication and we had removed gluten from his diet along with other things that "bothered him".

We did an iodine loading test with bromide levels but I am not sure that I would have spent the money had it not been for the fact that I was actually the one running the test in Dr. Brownstein's lab. So the cost was minimal since I did the work. ) But if you are having continual issues w/o progress with what you are doing then you may want to do it. You do the loading test with 25 mgs and then tell Hakala Labs www.hakalalabs.com that you have cut the dose so they can report accordingly.
